 I grew up not far from the French Alps, so I spent a lot of time hiking and have a lot of love for the region. The views are breathtaking and the fresh air invigorating. There’s a sense of freedom and at the same time feeling small when surrounded by the mountains.And I loved the wildlife. Spotting marmots whilst walking, or chamois. Or stopping for a picnic and being joined by sheep who have become accustomed to humans and want to share our lunch. I love picking wild bilberries and having a dip in the cold mountain streams.
