On a self-guided cycling holiday in Croatia, we provide a high-quality bike, our carefully compiled route notes and maps, and luggage transfers, so that you can ride from one hotel of character to the next at entirely your own pace.
Our cycling holiday in Croatia has a wide appeal: besides the varied scenery, there are top-notch wines and a burgeoning foodie scene. In keeping with our Slow holiday philosophy, our carefully thought-out routes (described in easy-to-read notes) allow plenty of time to appreciate it all. And because there’s no group, no arrangements to make (we do all that), and no luggage, you can be spontaneous, stopping off in a charming village or lingering over a seafood lunch.
Travel to Croatia
Restrictions on travel between the UK and Croatia mean that we cannot accept any new bookings from UK residents for autumn 2020 at the moment. We remain hopeful that restrictions will be eased and that we will be able to operate some Croatian holidays before the end of the summer season. If you have a holiday booking with us, we will contact you nearer the time.
Looking further ahead, you can book a walking, cycling or touring holiday for summer 2021 at 2020 prices.

Travelling from outside the UK?

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to get the low-down on Inntravel holidays from someone who has first-hand experience, you can email Phil Wise. Based in California, Phil has taken many trips with us over the years, and will be happy to give you general information about travelling to Europe and the overall Inntravel holiday experience from an American perspective.
Is our cycling holiday in Croatia right for you?
To be sure that our cycling holiday in Croatia is right for you, take a look at the definitions of our cycling grades below. Electric bikes (e-bikes) are available as an upgrade if you would appreciate some help on hills or longer routes. (Our grading system assumes you are using a ‘regular’ bike, so if you choose an e-bike, bear in mind that the cycling will be considerably easier.)
Easy cycling for all with shorter days mainly on the flat, but some gentle ascents.
Easy-to-moderate cycling featuring undulating routes with more frequent short ascents, and a mix of shorter and longer days.
Moderate cycling with some longer, steady uphill sections, and longer days.
Fairly strenuous cycling featuring longer days with some sustained climbs.
What to expect from your cycling holiday in Croatia
There are three key ingredients which are common to all Inntravel holidays, including our cycling holidays in Croatia: glorious landscapes; charming accommodation hand-picked for its warm welcome; and flavoursome local cuisine.
Reliable route notes
Lovingly compiled in-house, our route guides contain all the information you need to get from A to B independently, without missing out on the things that make for a full and varied holiday experience, such as the stories behind local customs and monuments. Updated constantly, they are totally reliable and like your own personal guide.
Make the holiday your own
An independent holiday means no set start date, no set duration, no set travel arrangements. So tell us if/where you wish to add extra nights, how and from where you’d like to travel (we can book bespoke travel arrangements by air, rail or ferry), and enjoy staying at more intimate hotels and having no fixed timetable as you explore.
Make the most of our expertise
The expertise that we’ve built up since starting in 1984 is greatly valued by our customers. The friendly experts with whom you speak by phone or converse via email share a passion for travel and have first-hand knowledge of our cycling holidays. They’ll be pleased to answer your questions and put together your ideal holiday.
