Head off on a self-guided touring holiday in Switzerland, and you will encounter outstanding scenery and hotels to match. We make all the arrangements, and supply you with our comprehensively researched route notes, leaving you free to explore at leisure.
Incredible scenery and an impressively punctual transport network are a winning combination, especially when it comes to touring holidays. In Switzerland, not only does the seamless travel system makes it extremely easy to access the country’s many thrilling landscapes, but these landscapes – from sapphire mountain lakes to emerald-green forests and glacier-encrusted, white-tipped peaks – make the journeys themselves a real pleasure.
Holidaying in Switzerland
If you would like to plan a walking or touring holiday in Switzerland for 2021, we are accepting bookings for travel from 1 May onwards as normal, with the added bonus that prices remain unchanged from summer 2020. Looking further ahead, we are also taking bookings for winter holidays for the 21/22 season.
Among Inntravel’s touring holidays in Switzerland is a rail journey across the ‘roof of Europe’, which includes a trip through the north face of the Eiger; a visit to the famous vineyards of the Valais; and a stay in chic Zermatt, by the foot of the Matterhorn. In winter, you can take a trip on the world-famous Glacier Express, and spend a couple of days in the Bernese Oberland, marvelling at the majestic, snow-clad scenery.
To give you a good idea of how we can tailor our trips to your individual requirements, take a look at the section of the website specifically devoted to travellers from outside the UK.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to get the low-down on Inntravel holidays from someone who has first-hand experience, you can email Phil Wise. Based in California, Phil has taken many trips with us over the years, and will be happy to give you general information about travelling to Europe and the overall Inntravel holiday experience from an American perspective.
