Explore at your own pace on our self-guided touring holidays in Slovenia. We take care of the rail travel; book you into our welcoming, superbly located hotels; and supply you with detailed route notes, leaving you free to discover one of Europe’s greenest and most fascinating countries at leisure.
When it comes to touring holidays, Slovenia is hard to beat. Located right in the heart of Europe, it has seen more than its fair share of traders and invaders come and go, all of whom have left their mark in terms of architecture, culture and cuisine. Besides this rich legacy, the country has a wealth of natural wonders to discover – from dramatic gorges to mirror-like lakes whose picturesque shores provide the perfect setting for a long, lingering lunch.
Travel to Slovenia
Restrictions on travel between the UK and Slovenia mean that we cannot accept any new bookings from UK residents for autumn 2020 at the moment. We remain hopeful that restrictions will be eased and that we will be able to operate some Slovenian holidays before the end of the summer season. If you have a holiday booking with us, we will contact you nearer the time.
Looking further ahead, you can book a walking, cycling or touring holiday for summer 2021 at 2020 prices.

Rich in culture, Slovenia’s leafy capital, Ljubljana, is a place we cannot recommend highly enough. As such, it features on all our touring holidays in and via Slovenia, whether you opt to explore the Best of Slovenia on a rail journey from the Alps to the Adriatic, or to travel by train from Austria to Italy, On the Trail of the Habsburgs, which can be extended to include a stay in near idyllic Lake Bled.
