Walk at your own pace through a variety of landscapes on a self-guided, non-group walking holiday in Cyprus. We arrange car hire, as well as accommodation at friendly hotels, and supply you with our trusted route notes, leaving you free to enjoy your beautiful surroundings.
Frescoed Byzantine chapels and monasteries, not to mention archaeological sites steeped in myth, mean that our walking holidays in Cyprus are about more than walking. These being Slow holidays, we encourage you to stop for cultural visits as the mood takes you – you’re not part of a group, and have complete freedom to explore (we arrange a hire car for you), so make the most of it, following our reliable route notes at your own pace.
The three best regions for walking in Cyprus are the rugged, pine-clad Troodos Mountains with their surprisingly alpine-like valleys; the Krasochoria wine region on the Troodos’ southern slopes; and the Akamas Peninsula with its more Mediterranean landscapes. Inntravel’s walking holidays in Cyprus offer the choice of exploring two, or all three, of these regions. The scenery may be very different, but all three areas reward walkers with views that stretch for miles.

How our walking holidays are graded
So broad is our selection, that we have a self-guided walking holiday for everyone, from gentle strolls (grade 1) to high-mountain hikes (grade 3). Naturally, the grading of individual holidays is subjective and within each holiday you will occasionally find some days slightly more challenging or easier than others. If you need any advice, please ask our friendly experts.
Generally easy walking with few ascents / descents, but perhaps the occasional long day.
Easy-to-moderate walking with some ascents / descents, and occasional longer days.
Moderate walking on varied terrain, with some long days and regular ascents / descents.
Moderate-to-challenging walking on more rugged terrain with significant ascents / descents on most days. Compass skills may be required (check the individual holiday).
Challenging hikes, featuring long days with significant ascent / descent on challenging terrain. Compass skills may be required.
Choice of easier or harder routes, so that you can tailor most days to your requirements.
