On a non-group,self-guided walking holiday in Gozo, we provide maps, our carefully researched route notes and a bus pass for the excellent, easy-to-use network, so that you can enjoy a variety of walks which reveal different aspects of the island, always at a pace that suits you.
Our walking holiday in Gozo – in keeping with our Slow holiday philosophy – is a means of discovering the island up close. And because there’s no group, and no route-planning (we’ve already done all that, and written step-by-step route notes, so all you need do is pick a walk each day), you can explore as the mood takes you. There’s no rush, so take time to admire the stunning coastline, sit by the sea listening to the waves, and learn about local history.
Although it’s quite small, it is on Gozo that you’ll find the best walks in Malta – walking holidays here are delightfully varied, with numerous inviting trails leading across terraced slopes and pastoral landscapes to spectacular cliffs, pretty bays and reminders of the island’s fascinating past. For many, another appealing aspect of walking on Gozo is that you don’t need a hire car to get around – you can take advantage of the frequent local buses.
