A choice of bike would be preferablue. Warn customers that Holland although is flat is generally windy and be prepared for a challenge when trying to navigate your way through to the hotel in the city! It’s not easy and other cyclists do not stop! Keep out of the cycle lanes if you’re walking!!
I enjoyed the trip very much - even, with hindsight, the terrible time we had getting through Amsterdam to our hotel.... It took us three hours, we were neraly in despair at time. Cycling around Edam however was a pure delight and there were so many lovely landscapes and pretty villages. Also of course, everything is set up for cyclists so we felt safe and catered for (unlike in this country..) The food was nice and the people were friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to go back to. Less sure about Amsterdam - I think a four night stay in Edam with circular tours would be ideal.
We had a wonderful time on the cycling holiday in Holland. Edam was wonderful and so was La Fortuna. Very friendly and delicious food. Biking was very good. Only small remark was the bikes were quite heavy and so this was a little problem especially in Amsterdam. The hotel in Amsterdam was great too. Very friendly and excellent breakfast. Central and great to get to the museums.

We really enjoyed our Inntravel holiday. We have never done a self-guided, hotel to hotel holiday before and we didn't know what to expect. Everything worked as arranged. The notes were easy to follow, the hotels knew we were coming and greeted us warmly and our bags were waiting for us. We liked all the hotels and found the service provided by the staff to be very good. All the hotels were located in very pleasant places and we took advantage of the garden settings (in Holland).
My recommendation for future customers: The rides through Tuscany are wonderful. You will work hard climbing the hills but you will be rewarded at the top with fantastic views and a thrilling descent. You will be rewarded at the end of the day with a good glass of wine and a great meal. You will wish that you had booked a longer holiday. Drink lots of water, wear cycling shorts and bring chamois butter.
INNTRAVEL NOTE: These customers booked two of our short cycling breaks - A Taste of Holland followed by A Flavour of Tuscany
