The corner that we have chosen for our cycling holiday in the Italian Alps is the area north of Trento, where the jagged, lace-like peaks of the Dolomites line the horizon, and elegant towns nestle in the valleys, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards.

Is our cycling holiday in South Tyrol right for you?

Given our focus on ‘amateur’ cyclists, we promise gentle cycling holidays in the Italian Alps – our routes follow designated, well-signed cycle tracks which stick largely to the valley floors while still commanding magnificent views. The definitions of our grades are given below. If you think you might need some help now and again, you could hire an electric (e-)bike. (Our grading system assumes you are using a ‘regular’ bike, so if you choose an e-bike, you'll find the cycling considerably easier.)

Grade 1

Easy cycling for all with shorter days mainly on the flat, but some gentle ascents.
Grade 1-2

Easy-to-moderate cycling featuring undulating routes with more frequent short ascents, and a mix of shorter and longer days.
Grade 2

Moderate cycling with some longer, steady uphill sections, and longer days.
Grade 2-3

Fairly strenuous cycling featuring longer days with some sustained climbs. (We don't currently have any holidays at this level.)
