This Holiday in a nutshell
  • explore with like-minded Inntravel guests
  • direct access to a vast network of easy walking trails
  • high-quality hotel with sauna
  • unrivalled range of other winter activities

Of all the places you can walk in the world, Ylläs must be one of the most magical. The feeling of being close to nature and the chance to fully take in your sublime surroundings make winter walking a hugely rewarding way to spend a few days in the snow. What’s more, you don't need to bring any specialist equipment so it’s suitable for almost anyone, regardless of age!

What makes this different from our winter walking weeks in the Alps is that you also have the chance to try out activities such as dog-sledding and ice fishing, and to look for the Northern Lights, making for a great and very varied Arctic experience.
Rebecca Bruce, Inntravel snow holiday expert

Snow-sure Ylläs (pronounced ‘Oo-las’) boasts a vast network of walking trails, with plenty of easy options to choose from. Here, you can explore amid spellbinding scenery, and try your hand at a wide range of other winter activities between included excursions if you so wish – cross-country or downhill skiing, ice-fishing, reindeer safaris, dog-sledding, torchlit walks... the list is almost endless!

You stay at the justifiably popular Ylläshumina Hotel, owned and run by Toivo Qvist (a former member of the Finnish cross-country skiing team) who knows the trails around Ylläs very well.
