This is the holiday of a lifetime, a truly memorable adventure on the high seas taking you north from Bergen by coastal steamer along Norway’s fjord-indented coastline, and round North Cape to the Russian border. Enjoying spectacular views of dramatic landscapes beneath a mantle of snow reflected in clear blue waters, you sail from port to port, with time exploring some of Norway's most iconic islands, savouring the distinctive character and flavour of each along the way.

On all overnight sailings of the Hurtigruten, we reserve a outside cabin for you, though, you may find yourselves spending more time out on deck looking for the Northern Lights than in your bed!
Rebecca Bruce – Inntravel

Your first destination is the astonishing Lofoten Islands, a wall of seemingly impenetrable jagged peaks rising from the ocean, where you feel blissfully removed from the whirl of modern life. Next comes the equally enthralling island of Senja, whose landscapes have been likened to ‘a Norway in miniature’; and on to Tromsøya, a real contrast as the unique setting for one of the Arctic’s most captivating cities. And finally around North Cape to Konsgfjord and Sollia where you have the opportunity to strike out on snowshoes, go dog-sledding or to join a fishing trip for crab. To top it all off, you may also be lucky enough to witness the elusive Aurora Borealis swirling across the night skies, an experience you will never forget.
