New holidays for 2026!

To be an Inntraveller is to connect with new places in a truly special way – to meander, to gaze, to wonder – and with all the time in the world to do it. Holidays are not just experiences, but achievements too. Our new itineraries have been crafted with all of this in mind, so, whether you’re looking to add your own set of footprints to those trodden by centuries of pilgrims along one of the strands of the Camino de Santiago, or to discover France’s answer to Venice high in the Alps, our 10 new walking holidays promise an abundance of history, culture, and natural beauty, culminating in that exhilarating sense of accomplishment you know and love.
  • Settled in a 4-star hotel in seaside Calella, the two different sides of northern Catalonia are yours to explore – the pine-fringed coves of the coast and the inland plain peppered with medieval villages. Whether you’d like to stroll through botanical gardens overlooking the glittering sea, delve into the region’s fascinating mining past, or spend a day visiting little-known Girona, everything is easily accessible and you’re free to make each day your own.
  • There’s so much more to the Isle of Man than motorsport. From the horse-drawn tramway and Victorian steam and electric railways that form a part of the island’s public transport network, to the wild wallabies living alongside the sunbathing seals on the nature reserves, this hidden gem is bound to both surprise and delight you. Coastal routes, heritage trails, and countryside walks are in abundance, with your boutique accommodation (which overlooks the panoramic Douglas Bay) providing the perfect base for exploration of the island – one of the world’s first UNESCO Biosphere nation.
  • Journeying through the little-known Aravis Mountains, discover the very essence of the Alps – chalet-style hotels in traditional villages, sweeping meadows, and scenic passes between rugged peaks. Your destination is the enchanting, medieval town of Annecy, known for its eponymous lake and nicknamed the ‘Venice of the Alps’ for its canals and pretty, cobbled streets. It’s also a hot spot for foodies, offering tantalising local dishes such as Reblochon cheese, tartiflette, and fondue, among others.
  • From Spain’s oldest national park – where trails meander through the verdant meadows, ancient woodlands, and impressive gorges of the Picos de Europa Mountains – this thrilling route descends to meet the Atlantic in a series of picturesque coves and beaches, named the ‘ Green Coast’ for the lush hills and pasturelands which frame them. Staying in two welcoming hotels over the week, enjoy the freedom of centre-based walking and the opportunity to absorb the beauty of the landscape at your own pace
  • Among the many routes to Santiago, the Camino Inglés carves its own path. Not only is it one of the few Caminos to balance coast and countryside, but it is a lesser-known route, allowing for a more tranquil experience. While still brimming with heritage, beautiful views are a standout highlight of the walk, from golden sands and sparkling estuaries to undulating hills and forests, before finally reaching the riches of Santiago.
  • From the moment you begin your pilgrimage along the Camino Francés, you know you’re in for a very special experience. Join the ancient network of trails that have led countless numbers of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela over the centuries for a hike as rich in natural wonder as it is in history and tradition. Covering the last 100 kilometres of the Camino, discover the timelessness and beauty of unspoiled northern Spain, before spending your last two nights in UNESCO-listed Santiago.
  • Experience the last 100 kilometres of this ancient pilgrim path, visiting the country’s largest volcanic lake before weaving through timeless countryside and historic towns towards Rome, the Eternal City. Few moments compare to your first glimpse of St Peter’s Dome – your journey’s end and confirmation of how close you are to fulfilling the iconic pilgrimage, collecting your official completion certificate, and celebrating your huge achievement with fellow pilgrims and travellers.
  • Between the Alps and the Adriatic lies one of the world’s most enchanting wine-growing regions – the tranquil Prosecco Hills. A landscape awarded UNESCO World Heritage status and home to Prosecco Superiore DOCG (the highest classification of quality), its dramatic, vine-covered slopes, outstanding local cuisine, and historic towns and villages offer everything you could want from a holiday destination. Enjoy countless opportunities to sample the region’s celebrated wines along your route – including the rare and prized Cartizze variety
  • Whether lit up by bright sunshine or darkened by brooding clouds, the majestic landscape of the Great Glen and Loch Ness never ceases to impress, humble, and inspire. Staying at a gourmet 4 hotel in Fort Augustus, you’re perfectly placed to explore not only the north shore of the loch, but also the quieter south shore, and can take your pick from a range of walks (including sections of the famous Great Glen Way long-distance trail), loch cruises, and cultural visits.
  • Begin in a peaceful guesthouse in the hills, and end by the sea in a stylish four-star hotel. Along the way, explore golden cliffs and beaches, quiet chestnut woods and timeless villages – with landscapes changing from almond blossom in spring to carpets of wildflowers, autumn hues and winter oranges. With a hire car, you’re free to explore at your own pace, combining gentle walks with visits to local sights, including Cabo de São Vicente, the dramatic south-western tip of Europe.
  • There’s no journey quite like the Glacier Express. This world-famous train showcases Switzerland’s most striking scenery – from glaciers to gorges to glorious mountain lakes – and along the way reveals remarkable feats of Swiss engineering, as well as thousands of years of culture and history.

New holidays for 2025

  • Set out on an unforgettable adventure through France, Italy and Switzerland, following one of Europe’s most iconic Alpine trails around the 4,808-metre Mont Blanc. Over seven exhilarating nights, enjoy a faster-paced version of the legendary 170-kilometre Tour du Mont Blanc – a celebrated long-distance route linking Chamonix, Courmayeur and charming mountain villages along the way. By day, stride across high passes, past glaciers and flower-strewn meadows; by evening, relax in welcoming inns or comfortable hotels, with your luggage conveniently transported ahead. This is a journey of magnificent scenery, vibrant cultures and shared spirit in the heart of the Alps.
  • Explore Tuscany's little-known La Maremma region, discovering its ancient past as you journey towards the Ligurian Sea. This is a wild and somewhat secretive land – tranquillity reigns amid its broad plains, hill-top towns, and walking paths, many of which can be enjoyed without meeting another soul. Listen to the sound of the birds, savour the rich, regional produce, and stay in truly rural agriturismi and a country house, too, set amid olive groves, vineyards, and oak forests.
  • Follow the beautiful Cornish coastline, from picturesque Looe to Plymouth Hoe, and uncover a quieter side to this popular county. From rugged nature reserves to the narrow, winding streets of idyllic fishing villages, this is Cornwall away from the crowds – where you’ll experience a warm local welcome and take in peaceful trails, inspiring views, and a rich maritime legacy shaped by both World War II and the sailing of the Mayflower.
  • Set away from the crowds in tranquil Mösern, Hotel Inntaler Hof has a front-row view over the Inn Valley – its forested slopes, dramatic peaks, and open meadows threaded together by the meandering River Inn. Staying here for a week, you enjoy a superior experience, with first-class spa facilities, a panoramic swimming pool, and access to a great selection of hikes. Why not combine relaxed walking with history and culture by visiting the next-door town of Seefeld as well as beautiful Innsbruck – the fascinating capital of the Tyrol?
  • Discover one of Europe’s iconic river landscapes on this spectacular walk through the Danube Valley. There’s history around every corner – from medieval towns to beautiful Baroque abbeys – while celebrated vineyards carpet the region’s riverbanks, slopes, and hilltops. Our flexible routes allow plenty of time for wine-tastings, for taking to the Danube by boat, and for enjoying the excellent accommodation – which includes both former monasteries and family-run, riverside guesthouses.
  • Many of Tuscany’s most celebrated sights can be savoured on this new cycling holiday, from Pisa’s Leaning Tower to the renowned Ponte Vecchio of Florence. But there are lesser-known highlights, too: the chance to stay in fairy-tale Lucca, a beautiful walled city beneath the Apuan Alps; as well as in the unspoiled medieval town of Vinci. Our leisurely rides leave plenty of time for exploring out of the saddle and for relaxing at your handpicked accommodation – a delightful mix of historic city hotels and a family-run agriturismo set amid its own olive groves and vineyards.

  • High peaks, big views, easy trails. This is the essence of our new walking holiday in the Pyrenees, on which you spend the week at a high-quality, family-run hotel with spa. Although easily reachable from Barcelona by train, this is an area that feels both authentic and unspoiled. Enjoy the acclaimed regional cuisine, excellent hospitality, and the rack railway that transports you high into the mountains to Núria, one of Catalonia’s holiest and most remarkable sites.

  • Ancient trails weave through olive groves and vineyards, or lead to medieval hill-top villages where traditional culture thrives. This is Umbria: an unassuming and often-overlooked region, but one whose breathtaking natural beauty has led it to be called Italy’s ‘Green Heart’. Our new walking holiday provides an evocative introduction to the region, taking you along scenic stretches of St Francis’ Way to uncover UNESCO-listed sights, inspiring views, delicious regional cuisine, and a superb hotel to unwind in at the end of each day.
  • As dawn broke over Normandy on 6 June 1944, Allied forces launched the largest amphibious invasion in the history of warfare. Operation Overlord, as it was known, left a lasting imprint – and you can now trace its remarkable legacy on our new walking holiday. As well as visiting the key landing beaches, this relaxed experience features gorgeous countryside and cuisine, picture-book towns, and four very special places to stay. Completing the picture is a final stop in historic Bayeux – home of the Bayeux Tapestry and with a delightful medieval centre, which avoided much of the damage following the D-Day Landings.

  • Revel in glorious countryside, superb produce, and some of Spain’s finest pueblos blancos on this picturesque walk through north-west Andalucia. As you explore over six panoramic days, you’ll spot black pigs roaming free in cork oak and chestnut forests, embrace traditional life in pretty village plazas, and dine on outstanding Jamón Ibérico. This is a remote region, but we include a direct taxi from/to Seville airport for easier access.

  • Across golden sands and breathtaking clifftops, our new week-long walking holiday reveals the best of Portugal’s wilder, western Algarve. The holiday follows the Fishermen’s trail – a famously scenic, long-distance footpath – to lead you from the historic city of Lagos to Cabo de São Vicente. Along these leisurely routes, you’ll find thriving birdlife, pretty fishing villages, and deliciously fresh seafood – but very few other tourists to crowd the views. Take time out from exploring to enjoy your handpicked accommodation: a great mix of beautiful four-star hotels and friendly guesthouses.

  • Madeira is an island of startling contrasts, and on this new holiday you have time to appreciate everything that makes the ‘floating garden’ special. From your base near the island’s capital, Funchal, take your pick of classic and lesser-known trails including the famous levada walks; tour traditional wine lodges and colourful markets; and use your hire car to visit suspended- in-time mountain villages, wild beaches, and waterfall-riven landscapes.
  • For almost two millennia Hadrian’s Wall has defined the landscapes of northernmost England, and hiking beside it on the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail is an incredibly rewarding experience. Each day of our route is unique – many layers of history meet cities, countryside, and abundant wildlife – while every evening is spent at a welcoming hotel or guesthouse, carefully selected for its charm, character, or perfect location beside the Trail.

We also offer a ‘Highlights of Hadrian’s Wall’ short break – an ideal choice for those with just a few days to spare, or for anyone who prefers to avoid the occasional city walking that’s a feature of the full National Trail.
