A Leutasch Encounter

Tyrol – majestic mountains & flower-filled meadows
This Holiday in a nutshell
  • self-guided hotel-to-hotel walking, luggage transported
  • highly praised 4-star hotels with fine views and excellent facilities
  • flexible routes on well-waymarked paths
  • splendid Alpine flowers
  • enjoy wonderful Tyrolean hospitality

Lying in the heart of the Alps, between the former imperial city of Innsbruck and the border with Bavaria, the Leutasch Valley offers delightful walking through idyllic Austrian landscapes. Sheltering below the striking peaks of the Wetterstein, this is a deeply traditional region where cow bells still echo across the deep, fertile valleys, orchids bloom undisturbed in grassy mountain meadows and the wide, sunny plateaux are dotted with typical, onion-domed churches.

The scenery and the locations were inspiring, the food and welcome was great, and the variety meant that every day was different and felt like a new holiday.
Mr Kelly, Surrey

Beginning at the excellent Hotel Inntaler Hof, this short break is a perfect blend of activity and luxury: by day, strike out into the high mountains on flexible routes along well-waymarked paths; in the evenings, enjoy outstanding hospitality and superb cuisine at our welcoming 4-star hotels. All family-run and featuring pools, saunas, and small spa complexes, these three hotels are highly praised for their fantastic locations and ever-friendly service. Travel in the early summer to walk among the wildflowers, or wait until the autumn months for the dazzling colour display that comes with the turning of the leaves.
