Winter walking and snowshoeing are fantastic ways to appreciate the snowy landscapes at entirely your own pace. Staying in charming hotels in pretty villages amid majestic scenery, you can strike out along inviting trails, either independently or with like-minded guests.
At Inntravel, we recognise that not everyone likes skiing, so we choose charming villages on the quiet side of the mountain where you can enjoy a memorable non-skiing holiday. Nowadays, many villages, particularly in the Alps, boast large networks of specially prepared winter walking paths and/or designated snowshoeing trails. Neither activity requires any special skill or clothing; the only ‘difficulty’ is choosing which trail to explore! If you prefer to explore as a group, we offer special winter walking weeks in Guarda and Ylläs.
So extensive are the winter walking and snowshoeing possibilities in Switzerland, Italy and Austria, that numerous villages in our selection would be perfect for a holiday devoted to either activity. Choose Guarda or Sils for the fairy-tale surroundings, or Moso for views of the Dolomites. Weidach, Ramsau, Kandersteg and Blitzingen are also great choices.

Reliable local information
To enrich your holiday experience, we provide you with practical, up-to-date information – for example, about the activities available in the vicinity and the opening times of hire shops and ice rinks – as well as an overview of local culture and history, and suggestions of interesting places you may wish to visit.
An Inntravel holiday allows you considerable flexibility. We can book flights from your preferred airport, or rail travel all the way from London to the Alps. We can also arrange a room upgrade, ski hire and lessons, or add on a city break to start or end your snow holiday in style. It’s up to you…
We’ve been offering winter holidays in the snow since 1985 and have a wealth of experience.
