This list of flight options should be used as a guide only, and you should check each airline’s website for current routes, frequency and schedules. Not all flights operate daily, and may not run for the entire season. You should also heed the latest flight arrival time and earliest flight departure time stated in the connecting travel section, as it may not be possible to arrange connecting travel outside these times. Please do not book your flights until we have confirmed your accommodation to you. Alternatively, our expert reservations team will be happy to offer advice and to make flight bookings for you for any of the options listed above. We charge £35 per person for our flight booking service. Your flights are then covered by our package-booking conditions, which give you greater protection in the event of delay or cancellation, as well as providing ATOL cover.

Both the Cavallino D'Oro and the Gasthof Kohlern provided us with a free public transport pass which we used on buses, the Funivia or cable car down to Bolsano and the train from Bolsano to Merano. The pass from the Gasthof also provided free access to the museums in Bolsano, most notably the one housing the 5000 year-old 'Iceman' or 'Otzi', and astonishingly his clothes, tools and weapons.
This was our first trip with Inntravel, and we had a truly special week walking in the ‘Secret Dolomites’. We could not believe the diversity and gorgeousness of the wildflowers growing everywhere in early June. The pastures, especially around Radien, Aldein and ‘en route’ to Kohlern were astonishingly beautiful. Then there were the stunning views dotted with the occasional delightful traditional farm or old barn. We had expected some grand, mountainous bleakness but the lower slopes were covered in lush fairytale forest again with endless varieties of wildflowers littering the floor and were full of birdsong. We loved the authenticity and character of the Zimerhof, the Krone and the Kohlern hotels, their warm and attentive service, their amazing views, lovely rooms and delicious food. It was also great to experience the unique Italian/Austrian culture of the area – we were never quite sure whether to say ‘Guten Morgen’ or ‘Buongiorno’. Altogether it was a wonderful week which exceeded our expectations.
We are a family of three, two adults with a 16 y/o son. This trip was a good amount of walking, not too much not too little. It took us through beautiful parts of the South Tirol, and we very much enjoyed all the trails. We arrived to the first hotel fairly early, and were able to add on a hike to Schwartzhorn, which was pretty amazing. The first few days are a bit repetitive, in the sense that the trails start with the same sections -- but Weisshorn was another great hike. We didn't find Bletterbach too interesting, but enjoyed the rest of the day. Hiking directions are very good, and we relied on the provided GPX tracks in our own app (Gaia and CalTopo). The accommodations were great, very welcoming and helpful. If anything, such a first world problem, the dinners were too involved and fancy. Sometimes spending 1.5 - 2 hours to dine wasn't our first choice... But as most of the hotels are far from other places, skipping the included dinner to have a simpler quicker meal elsewhere wasn't much of an option. All the food was delicious, local, very good. We extended our trip by staying an extra day in Kastelruth, added some hikes in Alpe di Siusi, and also rented e-MTBs in Kastelruth, through St. Ulrich, up the funicular with bikes, and then a long loop through the meadows, then ending up back in town. Either as an extra hike, or just an extra hour on the way from Vols to Kastelruth, it's worth visiting the castle ruins near Siusi -- the Wolkenstein loop.
Walk up the Weisshorn was a personal highlight.
Zirmerhof has an amazing location so good to arrive early on your first day so you have time to enjoy it.
I would recommend the walk to the Earth Pyramids from Bolzano, utilising the cable car and tram. Very useful to have the Bolzano transport card.

TIP: Flying to Bologna, as we did, works incredibly well. The Marconi Express from the airport direct into the main station works incredibly well and then there are connections to the Sud Tyrol.
Tranquil, well-signed, forestry trails through spectacular scenery. Unspoiled villages offering generally high standards of accommodation. Route classification is accurate, in that sections of it were challenging and we benefited from carrying walking poles. The overall holiday arrangements were exemplary.
Overall, we were extremely impressed with the quality of the hotels, food and service - nothing could have been faulted. One thing to mention is that at Kastelruth we were provided with guest cards that gave us free transport on regular buses (but not those serving Compatsch or Saltria), which gave us free transport down to Bolsano on the day we left.
An interesting holiday in a quieter part of the Dolomites - there were days when we hardly saw any other walkers. The routes are varied with some amazing scenery - meadows and forests along with mountains and streams and the hotels are all unique with some excellent food - we're vegetarian and were looked after really well. It's worth extending the holiday in all the locations as there are plenty of walks to do. The Zirmerhof was a particular highlight - really peaceful with amazing views and we loved the Krone - the staff there are really special.
There were lots of highlights for us. Arriving at Zirmerhof after travelling all day felt very special. Loved the pool, the packed lunches, the room and having breakfast outside looking at the views listening to the cuckoo. Our first walk up the Weisshorn was amazing and then loved the contrast of walking though the canyon the next day - great fun.
We loved the day's rest and the opportunity to visit the Otzi museum in Bolzano - fascinating.
Our last walk up to Compatsch was tough but what a reward to get to the top and see the stunning Alpine meadows. The Hutte there served great food.
All the hotels were excellent.
The timings given for the walks were a useful guide in helping us to plan our day.
Verona is a beautiful city and the add on was a delightful way to end our holiday.
We loved every minute of our vacation. Everything was carefully thought out and all the details provided were most helpful. After wonderful, breath-taking hikes & walks we ate the most amazing and delicious food in the most beautiful hotels. Each place was unique and lovely. All of our accommodations had the most kind and helpful staff, too.
A great opportunity to get to know little visited parts of the Dolomites. We had a great time. Thank you. Our fifth great holiday with you and we will booking again.
Expectations exceeded. Highlights as follows. The day 3 walk to Kohlern on an ancient track leading through high alpine meadows and forests with dramatic peaks revealing themselves. The walk up to the Seiseralm plateau on day 6. The lovely pool and breakfasting outside with beautiful views at Zirmerhof. The owners at Krone were especially welcoming and made delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast. The Archaeological Museum at Bolzano, is well worth a visit.
The alpine meadows were totally incredible. The whole area is outstandingly beautiful and clean.
