For your self-guided cycling holiday in Sardinia, we provide a high-quality bike, our carefully researched route notes and maps, and luggage transfers, so that you can pedal from one carefully selected hotel to the next at entirely your own pace.
Our cycling holiday in Sardinia has broad appeal: besides the beguiling coastal scenery, there are prehistoric sites, Roman ruins and Phoenician city. In keeping with our Slow holiday philosophy, our routes (described in easy-to-read notes) are designed so as to give you plenty of time to appreciate it all. And because there’s no group, no arrangements to make (that’s our job), and no luggage, you can be spontaneous, pausing at a seafood restaurant for lunch or at a pristine beach.
For wonderful coastal cycling, Sardinia is hard to beat. Our route explores the island’s south-west corner – including the idyllic islands of San Pietro and Sant’Antioco – where views of translucent turquoise seas are complemented by a wealth of history that makes your cycling holiday in Sardinia all the more varied and rewarding.

Is our cycling holiday in Sardinia right for you?
Our Sardinian cycling holiday is a leisurely affair, with plenty of time to relax on the expanses of pristine sand. To be sure that it is the right level for you, take a look at the definitions of our cycling grades below. Electric (e-)bikes are available as an upgrade if you would appreciate some help on uphill sections. (Our grading system assumes you are using a ‘regular’ bike, so if you choose an e-bike, you'll find the cycling considerably easier.)
Easy cycling for all with shorter days mainly on the flat, but some gentle ascents.
Easy-to-moderate cycling featuring undulating routes with more frequent short ascents, and a mix of shorter and longer days.
Moderate cycling with some longer, steady uphill sections, and longer days.
Fairly strenuous cycling featuring longer days with some sustained climbs.
What to expect from your cycling holiday in Sardinia
There are three ingredients which are found in all Inntravel holidays, including our cycling holidays in Sardinia: sublime landscapes; delightful hotels hand-picked for their friendly hospitality; and flavoursome local cuisine (which in Sardinia incorporates plenty of seafood).
Reliable route notes
Lovingly compiled in-house, our route guides contain all the information you need to get from A to B independently, without missing out on the things that make for a full and varied holiday experience, such as the stories behind local customs and monuments. Updated constantly, they are totally reliable and like your own personal guide.
Your holiday, your choice
Independent, non-group holidays enable you to stay in smaller, one-of-a-kind hotels, and plan each day to suit you. The benefits don’t stop there. You can choose when to start, if or at which hotels to add extra nights, and whether to travel to your holiday by air, rail or ferry – we’ll book travel arrangements tailored to your requirements.
