There are
many good reasons to work for Inntravel, but it doesn’t suit everyone. If any of the following strike a chord, working for Inntravel may not be for you:
• It’s not a Monday to Friday, 9-5 job (depending on your role, you’ll need to work late at busy times of the year, and only a few roles are exempt from working on the Saturday rota – even the MD does it!)
• There are limited possibilities for retail therapy at lunchtime (the nearest shops are a 15-minute drive away, in Malton. It has all your essential shops, but Oxford Street it ain’t)
• You need a certain amount of creativity and initiative (from finding a workaround for a holiday when one of the hotels is full, to coming up with an-easy-to-read format for a complicated price panel, every role requires some off-the-cuff thinking)
• Being able to drive is essential (a lot of staff car share, but there’ll inevitably be days when you’ll have to make your own way into the office, so you do need a car)
