Where to head for a family snow holiday in Europe
Inntravel’s snow holidays for families feature villages in the Alps and Scandinavia which offer both cross-country and downhill skiing, plus a range of other activities. In Austria, choose between Pertisau, Ramsau, Mösern and St Jakob. If you’d like to visit Switzerland, Kandersteg has all the ingredients for a fun holiday. Alternatively, Geilo in Norway is another popular choice.
Travelling from outside the UK?
To give you a good idea of how we can tailor our trips to your individual requirements, take a look at the section of the website specifically devoted to travellers from outside the UK.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to get the low-down on Inntravel holidays from someone who has first-hand experience, you can email Phil Wise. Based in California, Phil has taken many trips with us over the years, and will be happy to give you general information about travelling to Europe and the overall Inntravel holiday experience from an American perspective.
How our family skiing holidays are graded
As you’d expect, we’ve chosen villages where there’s a good amount of easy, family-friendly skiing. To make sure that you choose the village that’s right for you and your family, it’s worth familiarising yourself with how we describe who the domains are best suited to:
No previous experience; requires lessons. Should stick to green trails for cross-country skiing or nursery slopes for downhill skiing.
Has limited previous experience and is au fait with the basics, but not yet completely confident. Able to cope with most blue routes.
Has skied before and technique is now sufficiently honed to tackle red routes with confidence.
Highly experienced. Able to cope with the most difficult of trails/pistes (those graded black).
