Downhill skiing holidays in Europe

with a difference
There’s no denying the sheer exhilaration of downhill skiing, which is why many alpine ski resorts get so busy. Inntravel’s downhill skiing holidays in Europe, however, are that little bit different – we seek out unspoiled villages away from the crowds. Their pistes rival those of many of the better-known resorts, yet are pleasantly quiet, with short or non-existent lift queues, making for alpine skiing holidays as they should be – relaxed and carefree.

How our downhill skiing holidays are graded

Whatever your level, from beginner to advanced, in our selection you’ll find an alpine skiing holiday to suit you. Some villages focus on easy, family-friendly skiing, while others cater for more experienced skiers, so we describe who the domains are best suited to:
  • No previous experience; requires lessons. Should stick to green trails for cross-country skiing or nursery slopes for downhill skiing.
  • Has skied before and technique is now sufficiently honed to tackle red routes with confidence.
  • Highly experienced. Able to cope with the most difficult of trails/pistes (those graded black).

Alpine skiing holidays, Inntravel style

There are three key ingredients in our alpine skiing holidays (and Inntravel holidays in general): charming villages in splendid scenery; hand-picked hotels where you’ll find a warm welcome; and delicious cuisine.
