Walking holidays in Andalucía

Sun-soaked cities, olive groves & rugged hills
Spain’s southernmost region stretches from Portugal to Almería in the east, while to the north the Sierra Morena’s rolling hills contrast against the Mediterranean Sea. Add in the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada - Europe’s second highest mountain range - and some of Spain’s most historically rich cities (Sevilla, Cordoba, and Granada), and Andalucía’s contrasting landscapes are a far cry from the bustling resorts you might first think of.

Andalucían walking holidays –

see the region up close
Our walking holidays in Andalucía are the perfect means of discovering the region up close. Our meticulously planned routes (described in easy-to-follow notes) allow plenty of time to take in your surroundings. And because there’s no group, no arrangements to make (we do all that), and no luggage to worry about, you can make impromptu stops to watch a griffon vulture, learn about Andalucía’s Moorish roots, or to explore a pueblo blanco (white town).

Choosing your perfect walking holiday in Andalucía

Our walking holidays in Andalucía cater for all levels (see our grading system below), from easy walking in the Aracena Sierra to the demanding but rewarding routes offered by our walking holiday, White Towns & Rugged Mountains. For a choice of routes of different levels, choose a centre-based walking holiday, such as The Grazalema Sierra.
  • Our Andalucían walking holidays that are graded gentle to moderate cover from 7.5km to 15km a day with only a few ascents and descents. The Aracena Sierra features drovers' trails and forest paths, while coastal Almeria and the Cabo de Gata takes you along cliff tops and hills. There are shorter, 4-night versions, of each holiday too.
  • The remainder of our Andalucían walking holidays are graded flexible, which give you a choice of routes to pick from, depending on your ability, the weather, and where you fancy exploring. Enjoy wonderful walking in the Grazalema Sierra, where there are gentle to more challenging routes along mountain paths, while in Las Alpujarras there are easy and moderate routes through valleys and terraces.

Why Inntravel?
