From the French to the Swiss Alps

A thrilling ten-night Alpine experience
All your hotels offer warm hospitality, style and comfort, great food – and some superb views.

Hotel Les Gentianettes (4*), La Chapelle d'Abondance

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel Les Gentianettes
Enjoy the charming and friendly ambience of this alpine chalet-style hotel which is complemented by the fine regional cuisine of the hotel’s two restaurants, one of which specialises in local cheese dishes, including alpine fondue and tasty raclette.

Hotel Macchi (4*), Châtel

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel Macchi
Monsieur Macchi is a fine chef and his inspirational gastronomic flair matches the style and elegance of this comfortable hotel, complete with an indoor pool and panoramic terrace.

Le Grand Chalet (3*), Leysin

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Le Grand Chalet
This chalet-style hotel is set high above the village and offers, according to your hosts the friendly Bonelli family, ‘the best views in Switzerland’. There are 30 beautifully decorated bedrooms, most of which have a balcony, to enjoy the same far-reaching views – this is the only place in Leysin from where you can see Mont Blanc - and all have twin beds and a shower. Dinner and breakfast are taken in the wood-clad restaurant and if the weather is fine it is possible to dine out on the terrace, to savour more of those views. A comfortable lounge, bar and outdoor hot-tub complete the picture.

Hotel du Cerf (3*), Le Sépey

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel du Cerf
Located in the centre of this small village, this hotel-restaurant is the focal point of the village and popular with the locals. The 11 bedrooms are either twin or double with a shower and are light and bright. What is unique about this hotel is the dinner; the restaurant is renowned for its rösti – there are over 25 different varieties on the menu – and you will be able to sample one at dinner. The hotel also has a cosy lounge with an open fire, a sauna and steam bath.

Hotel du Pillon (3*), Les Diablerets

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel du Pillon
Situated just outside the village, this historic hotel offers impressive views over the village and the Diablerets Glacier. Built in 1870, the hotel has been beautifully and sympathetically renovated by the current owner, who used to be an art dealer in Paris, along with his interior designer wife. As you would expect, the attention to detail in the décor is wonderful. With only 14 bedrooms, there is a real sense of intimacy at the hotel, even more so at dinner which is taken together either in the restaurant or out on the terrace. The bedrooms are all decorated in an Alpine style using light coloured wood throughout, with the twin bedded rooms all having a shower.

Hotel Alpe Fleurie (3*), Villars-sur-Ollon

Meal arrangements: breakfast, plus one dinner

Hotel Alpe Fleurie
This chalet-style hotel has a fantastic location right in the centre of the village of Villars, and offers stunning views from the restaurant, terrace and bedrooms over the Alps, including the Dents du Midi. The beautifully decorated bedrooms have either twin or double beds and a bath or shower. All rooms feature plenty of wood and all have a balcony from which to enjoy the views; you can also upgrade to a superior room which has the same views but is larger in size. The included dinner is a hearty 3-course menu; on other nights you can choose to eat again at the hotel or sample one of the local restaurants in Villars.
