The Lycian Way

Privileged access to ancient cultures & a dramatic coast
This Holiday in a nutshell
  • self-guided hotel-to-hotel walking, luggage transported
  • varied landscape of mountains and coast
  • delightful hotels
  • friendly, welcoming hosts
  • fascinating history and heritage

This challenging, yet hugely rewarding, walk follows a section of the Lycian Way, Turkey’s first long-distance coastal path pioneered by Englishwoman, Kate Clow. Not only will you discover delightful landscapes and a fascinating history as you walk along the spectacular coast, but you will also meet friendly local people.

There are not so many places left where magic reigns without interruption, and of all those I know, the coast of Lycia is the most magical.
Freya Stark, “The Lycian Shore” (1937)
You begin in a beautiful rural setting in the foothills of Tahtali Dağ (Mount Olympos) before heading down to the coast to end your journey at the ancient town of Simena, passing countless relics of a bygone civilisation as you walk from one pretty village to the next.
