We plan all our holidays meticulously, sometimes taking months, or even years, to fine-tune a holiday. The first step is to seek out regions which promise a thoroughly enjoyable, varied and fulfilling holiday. It could be that the magnificent landscapes are reward enough, but on other holidays we might decide to design the itineraries in such a way as to allow you to discover the flora and fauna, cultural treasures, or fascinating local history (all brought to life for you in our
customer documentation). Certainly, we try to ensure that no two days are the same, and that the routes and suggested excursions are full of interest.
For walking and cycling holidays, we seek advice from local guides and other people who know the trails, and spend as much time as necessary exploring between villages to be sure of choosing the best possible route. Last, but by no means least, we hand-pick the accommodation – we search for friendly,
family-run hotels of character where you’ll find a warm welcome and a dinner of delicious local dishes to round off each day perfectly.
Because the vast majority of our holidays are self-guided, you set the pace. If you want to stop to photograph the flowers, to linger at a viewpoint, or make an unscheduled visit to a wayside chapel or another place of interest, you can. You will gain a good understanding of the traditions and patterns of everyday life and, thanks to the wealth of cultural information contained in your holiday pack, will return home feeling that you’ve really got to know your chosen region.
