Nestling on the shores of Lake Achensee, whose bright waters never entirely freeze, the Tyrolean village of Pertisau offers scenic cross-country trails and ideal downhill skiing for beginners and families. Small but lively, the village lies at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains, where three valleys meet, enabling winter walkers to explore a variety of lakeside, valley and mountain routes.

The Entner family have long owned the Wiesenhof and lately remodelled it from a simple farm with guest rooms into one of the most thoughtful and well-run hotels I've ever visited. Certainly the spa, with its pool, steam rooms and sauna, will be appreciated by any Langlauf skier.

The magnificent Wiesenhof is, deservedly, one of our most popular hotels, and earns the most consistently high levels of praise of any Inntravel hotel for the charming hospitality of English-speaking hosts Hansi and Alexandra Entner. They have worked tirelessly and enthusiastically to create a convivial atmosphere in which families with children of all ages are warmly welcomed and well catered for. Dating from the 18th century, the building has been in the family for generations, gradually evolving into a superb 4-star hotel of the highest quality. Despite its size and refined elegance, it remains friendly and relaxed.
