We are currently working on our 2012/13 winter breaks programme, which will be published online in early July.
• downhill skiing and cross-country skiing holidays in Austria • quiet villages with skiing for all levels, including beginners • wide range of other winter activities • high-quality, family-run hotels offering delicious cuisine
When it comes to winter holidays, Austria is our most popular destination, and deservedly so, not least because the hotels are of a particularly high quality and the hospitality second to none, especially in the Tyrol.
Cross-country skiing in Austria is sometimes overshadowed by downhill skiing – Austria does, after all, boast some first-rate alpine ski domains – but it is nevertheless excellent. Indeed, cross-country skiing, with Austria’s majestic peaks towering above you, is a real joy here; the Leutasch Valley in the Tyrol was named ‘Europe’s most beautiful cross-country ski domain’.
All our winter holidays in Austria have been carefully selected – we seek out welcoming, family-run hotels of character in idyllic locations. If you are new to skiing, read our guide to cross-country skiing. Austria caters well for skiers of all levels. If skiing is not for you, you can also enjoy marvellous winter walking holidays in Austria.
