'Three men' set sail again...

Korcula Island, CroatiaGriff Rhys Jones, Dara O'Briain and Rory McGrath have set sail again as 'Three Men in a Boat' on the BBC (last night), this time sailing up the Adriatic from Montenegro via historic Dubrovnik (below), heading for their final destination, Venice, where they plan to compete in a gondola race. As usual, they are jumping from one interesting vessel to another, in their characteristic yet seemingly disorganized manner.

Last night saw them sailing in President Tito's former yacht and climbing the rigging on a three-masted sailing ship (amongst others), as they slowly followed in Inntravel's footsteps to explore Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Coast, stopping to play cricket and go fishing en route to the island of Korcula (left). This really is a beautiful part of the Mediterranean and the thousands of idyllic islands make it very popular with the boating fraternity, though you don't need a boat to enjoy such wonderful land and seascapes. Take a journey through central Dalmatia by car and the regular ferries mean you, too, can explore many of the Islands & Waterfalls that make Croatia so appealing.

Next week: Griff, Dara and Rory arrive in Venice... (BBC2 9.00pm on Tuesday 28 June 2011)
(If you missed episode one, watch it here on BBC i-player)

I enjoyed the programme very much and look forward to Venice as one of my favourite places. Is it possible to put a map on screen so that we can see exactly where you are? Thank you.
