Established in 1984 and based in rural North Yorkshire, Inntravel is recognised as one of the UK’s leading specialist tour operators. We specialise in Slow holidays on which you can discover the lesser-taken path and take your time to enjoy the moment. Though we have grown since the early years as a family-run firm with just a handful of staff, we remain a comparatively small team. As you would expect of a firm offering walking, cycling and snow holidays, everyone at Inntravel loves the great outdoors, and as many staff as possible get to experience our holidays. As a team, we know our holidays, our featured regions and our hotels inside out, and if the person you are speaking to doesn’t know the answer to your question, they will find someone who does.

Most recently, we were named Best Activity Tour Operator 2010 at the Italian State Tourist Office Awards. Before that, we were rated ‘highly commended’ in the Top Tour Operator category of the Wanderlust magazine awards 2009.

To guarantee your complete financial security, Inntravel is bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority for holidays by air (ATOL number 2644) and the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA number W780X) for all other holidays.

Our love of the regions which feature in our programmes brings with it a wish to benefit them through our holidays. To this end, we almost exclusively use local, family-run hotels and other suppliers so as to support the local economy; we make use of public transport wherever possible; and we also support a range of social and environmental projects. Our commitment to responsible travel is reflected by the fact that we are one of just a small number of companies to have been awarded the maximum five stars for our sustainable tourism policy by AITO.
