Photo of the Month for April

Entitled Road to Grazalema, Scott Hatch’s evocative shot was taken one misty morning in southern Spain. He described the moment thus:

“Walking from Zahara to Grazalema on a misty April day, we crossed paths with this shepherd and his flock. We appreciated the timeless scene and atmospheric conditions and were jealous of his large umbrella.”

This month’s judge was Linda Lashford, a fine art photographer who is at home both as a landscape and a documentary photographer. Here, she shares her the reasoning behind her choice with us:

"I think that this is the truest image, reflecting the spirit of the competition... something unexpected or glimpsed, also humorous and 'of the place'."

The shortlisted images can be viewed in the April Moments Gallery. To see all 65 entries, take a look at the album we’ve created on Facebook.
