Three new snow holidays for winter 2017/2018 (04 July 2017)

We have three new holidays for the coming winter: the high-quality Berghotel Rehlegg, a spa hotel in Germany's Berchtesgaden National Park, which makes an ideal choice for non-skiers; the charming Hotel Privata in a village between two lakes in eastern Switzerland, where there is fantastic winter walking and cross-country skiing; and a special winter walking week at the Hotel Ylläshumina in Lapland.

New holiday introduced in southernmost Spain (21 June 2017)

We are pleased to introduce a new walking holiday on the Costa de la Luz for autumn, winter and spring. Besides long, sandy beaches, views towards the mountains of Morocco and a fascinating fusion of Spanish and North African cultures, the region is a haven for birds, dolphins and whales.

2018 'my slow moment' competition launched (01 May 2018)

We are now accepting entries for our My Slow Moment Competition. Between May and October, each ‘Moment of the Month’ will win a fabulous prize from a Yorkshire producer, and all six monthly winners will be entered into the final to win a six-night walking-holiday-cum-assignment on the German shores of Lake Constance. To enter, send us a photo, a video or a short written piece encapsulating a Slow Moment.

Four brand-new walking destinations (04 December 2017)

With four brand-new walking holidays for 2018, there really is something for everyone. The shores of Lake Constance, the verdant valleys of northern Portugal’s Minho and quiet western Tuscany offer relaxed, scenic walking, while those seeking more challenging routes need look no further than the Greek island of Andros, a secret walking paradise.

Collection of journeys in SlowMotion expanded for 2017 (09 December 2016)

SlowMotion, our collection of touring holidays by car, train and/or boat, was launched twelve months ago. For 2017, we are delighted to expand our selection to include journeys by car in fjord Norway as well as in Catalonia and Emilia-Romagna, the latter two of which are both great for foodies; and journeys by rail through the Swiss Alps and linking great Italian cities.

New walking holidays launched for 2017 (08 December 2016)

Our new walking holidays cater for all levels. At the lower end of the scale, we are pleased to introduce holidays in Corsica, the Côte d'Azur and Dorset, while our new holidays in Bavaria and Italy's Cottian Alps will reward keen walkers with thrilling routes and far-reaching views.

Revealed: our new cycling holidays (03 December 2017)

2018 sees the introduction of no fewer than five new cycling holidays, including our very first Portuguese adventure on two wheels – to the shimmering lagoons around Aveiro. Over in France, you can choose to explore Normandy’s beaches and medieval history, or the sunny coastline of La Rochelle. Farther east, our slightly more challenging routes in Slovenia and Croatia reward those who visit with some breathtaking views.

Five new journeys for 2018 (03 December 2017)

We are delighted to announce five fabulous new journeys in SlowMotion. One adventure by car crosses Catalonia in search of Dalí, while another explores the impossibly beautiful Dordogne Valley. You could take the Slow train through little-known Asturias in northern Spain, or journey by rail and boat around Switzerland’s great lakes or Scandinavia’s most iconic cities.

Two new cycling holidays introduced (08 December 2016)

For 2017, we have two new cycling holidays: a journey alongside rivers and lakes, from the art city of Mantova into the very heart of Verona; and a discovery of Penedès, Spain's 'Cava country', with plenty of time for wine tastings as you pedal through the vineyards.

Three Norwegian holidays introduced for winter 2016/17 (14 July 2016)

For this coming winter, we are pleased to introduce three new holidays to Norway: a welcoming hotel from whose door beginners and intermediates can enjoy cross-country skiing on a plateau overlooking the Rondane National Park; breaks to the island of Senja, where you may spot whales and the Northern Lights; and a thrilling journey between three Arctic islands on the Hurtigruten coastal steamer.

2017's winning photo announced (02 December 2017)

The overall winner of our 2017 Slow Moments competition was announced at our Discovery Day in Cheltenham. It was no easy decision, but the judges chose David Pechey's exceptional image entitled Bus Queue, which was taken on his travels in Sri Lanka. Read more >

SlowMotion: a new brochure for the new year (02 January 2016)

We are delighted to introduce SlowMotion, a new collection of adventures amid the most beautiful corners of Europe and Morocco. They share many of the hallmarks of our other holidays – you travel independently, staying in hand-picked accommodation of character while using our detailed notes to explore and get to know the area – but you journey from one enchanting location to the next by train, boat and/or car for a very relaxing and memorable holiday.

New walking holidays introduced for 2016 (31 December 2015)

Our new walking holidays appeal to a variety of tastes. There's coastal walking on the Greek island of Cephalonia, or great mountain routes between the Eiger and Matterhorn and in Umbria in central Italy. Wine lovers and foodies, meanwhile, will like our holidays in Alsace and the Black Forest. Last but not least, we have another new holiday in the Harz Mountains, the spiritual heart of Germany.

Inntravel donates to Dominican relief fund (02 October 2017)

Our thoughts have been with all those on Dominica ever since Hurricane Maria wrought such terrible devastation on the island. Communications continue to be badly affected, but, having made contact with all of our hoteliers, it is clear that we won’t be able to offer holidays there for the foreseeable future. Recovery is bound to be a long and difficult process, and we are keen to contribute towards the relief effort. As well as supporting individuals, Inntravel has made a donation to the Dominica High Commission’s fundraising page, which you might also like to visit for more information.

2016 cycling brochure features two new holidays (30 December 2015)

In Italy, embark on a gentle exploration of the quiet side of Tuscany or, in Germany, circumnavigate the intriguing island of Rügen. As well as these two new additions, we are pleased to introduce a holiday in north-east France combining walking and cycling amid the fairy-tale scenery of Alsace.

Inntravel shortlisted for Which? travel brand of the year (18 May 2017)

We are extremely proud to have been shortlisted in the Travel Brand of the Year category in the prestigious annual Which? Awards, announced on 17 May – a strong endorsement of our customer service and commitment to quality.

Inntravel wins bronze at the British Travel Awards (25 November 2016)

We were delighted to win bronze at the British Travel Awards 2016 in the Best Holiday Company to North Africa category for our privately guided walking holidays in Morocco.

Inntravel named in top 3 at Telegraph Travel Awards (28 November 2013)

We were delighted to be named joint runner-up in the 'Best Tour Operator' category at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2013. This, along with being named Best Short Break Operator at the Guardian & Observer Travel Awards 2013 and being ranked second in Which?'s 2013 survey of holiday companies, is a great endorsement of our holidays, not least because all three accolades are based on public votes. We can assure you that we won't be resting on our laurels, and will continue to work hard on providing the best possible holidays and delivering the highest standards of customer service.

Inntravel tops prestigious travel survey (01 July 2016)

We are delighted to have been recognised in a highly regarded survey of holiday companies, which you can read about in our press release. While this is very exciting news for us, you can rest assured that we won’t be resting on our laurels, and will continue to work hard on providing the best possible holidays.

Inntravel website given a new look (09 October 2013)

We hope you like the new look and the improved menus that help you navigate around the site more easily. We have also introduced a shortlist facility so that you can keep track of the holidays you are interested in as you browse the site and narrow down your choices. There is a brand new travel choices section, too, which focuses on rail travel in particular: why taking the train is such a great alternative to flying or driving and what to expect on the journey.

Our inspiration page just got better (11 March 2013)

To make it easier for you to find ideas for your next holiday, we have expanded the Inspiration section of our website. You can now browse by month – where you will find suggestions such as catching the almond blossom in Spain, music festivals in Italy, the Midnight Sun in Norway, carnival time in Madeira, or the grape harvest in Europe’s vineyard regions – or by theme, be it castles, wildlife, art, food, wine and more, so why not take a look?
