Highly recommend a visit to Betancuria of a weekend as live music. on the way stop at Pájara, a lovely little village. 

Lanzarote:

Visit Quemada wonderful restaurant used by locals 7Islas. No 1 on tripadvisor, definitely worth seeking out. Amazing quality and great prices. Fabulous view. 
wonderful headlands walk to Puerto Calero. 
visit La Santa and Famara. Famara beach looks like Camps Bay in South Africa.

We were looking for a Christmas in the sun but not too far from the UK. This holiday fits the bill perfectly and offered us the opportunity to do as much or as little walking as we chose. The scenery was varied and interesting. The food was excellent as were the local wines. The driving was straight forward and the roads excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our first Inntravel holiday, both accommodations had been chosen with care however they are not modern hotels.

The choice of walks and drives was generous which we appreciated.

One of our highlights was having a guided tour in English of La Alcogida Eco Museum. This was fascinating so could be enlarged upon in the notes. There were 2 daily tours while we were there. Without the guide it would not be fully appreciated.

Not the most spectacular Inntravel walks, but not too taxing and very easy to navigate. A good hotel, though it is more a bustling restaurant with a few rooms and so can get busy and noisy.

A fantastic introduction to Fuerteventura, with such a varied itinerary and some splendid sights. We felt very relaxed in our accommodation and really enjoyed the food. A great time of year for exploring, the weather was perfect.

We spent a pleasant sunny week in Fuerteventura. This holiday would be ideal for those who wish to rack up the mileage on their walks. But we would not recommend it for those who look for variety of terrain and a variety of nature on their walks. The landscape has a stark beauty with very little shade. The terrain is predominantly gravel or volcanic fallout which can be a little tedious underfoot. I would recommend good trail shoes or walking boots, and walking poles for the scree-like descents. A hat with a chin strap may not be the most elegant but is essential for walking on this windy island.

The food and friendliness at Hotel El Cabo/Casa Marcos was superb.

Overall - you need a good appetite for this holiday! Both the Mahoh and El Horno had portions which were really too big - the later was the friendlier restaurant of those two - and open when others weren't.

The view from the highest point on walk 8 and the gorge down to the Ermita on the same walk were spectacular.

We recommend using the local buses - needed for 2 walks, can also be used for walks 3 and 4 - and we used again to re-visit El Cotillo and walk to the lighthouse on our last day. It is also possible to reach Puerto del Rosario by bus - but more restricted times. If you plan to use them a lot - buying a card from the driver on which to load cash saves looking for small change. Maybe Inntravel should include tours by bus as well as driving tours in the notes as it is greener? We considered a trip to Puerto del Rosario and Salinas Del Carmen by bus on the same day - but decided against it - visiting the latter by car instead on our final morning beore flying home. 

As ever, we always look out for birds on our walks. While they certainly are elusive on Fuerteventura we managed to see just under 40 species. We can provide a list as we have done before.

Really enjoyed the ferry trip to Isla de Los Lobos and the day spent there.

Betancuria, Ajuy, El Cotillo and Pajara are lovely places to visit.

The walk up to Calderon Hondo was memorable as the view of the volcano was spectacular.

Fabulous meal in Casa Naturaleza in Vega de Rio Palmas.

Excellent variety of contrasting walks and a friendly hotel. Particular highlights included the climb along the ridge above the reservoir north of Llanos de la Concepción, the walk to El Cortillo, and the walk from Bentancuria to the Ermita. We completed that walk earlier than planned and rather than wait for the bus found a pleasant walk along the barranco back to Bentancuria. Food at La Villa restaurant opposite the hotel was superb (essential to book in advance), and we also enjoyed a meal at Locanda Il Gatto Rosso. 

Excellent trip, Inntravel are extremely efficient, professional, polite, friendly and seamless in arrangements for holiday. Have recommended them and will continue to do so. This was our fourth trip with them and won't be the last.

 Highlights were the visit to Isle de Los Lobos and Betancuria. We also thoroughly enjoyed all the dinners at the hotel. Meeting and socialising with other Inntravel customers was an added bonus. 

The holiday was all that we expected it to be. The guide was invaluable; the route notes were excellent; the background information added to the experience and other advice such as places to eat was also most helpful. The hotel was excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

A great holiday and although we had cloudy weather for much of the week, it meant that we really enjoyed the walking, the birds and the flora.  Many of the walks are on quite hard, loose stony ground so good boots are worth having.  

We were looking for relatively easy walking and preferably not more than 4 hours at a time. We were very satisfied with the variety and length of the routes offered and the quality of the walking notes. The driving notes were also very good. In terms of scenery, we liked that El Hierro was quite green, in contrast to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with their volcanic landscapes (Lanzarote in particular felt very black). We found the restaurant service at La Casona de Yaiza very friendly and personal, and the food was excellent (we ate there every evening bar the one night they were closed). In Fuerteventura, whilst we did enjoy the food at Mahoh, it was a larger restaurant so the service not quite as personal as at Yaiza. We ate at La Villa on three nights (Mahoh being closed on the Monday and Tuesday of our stay) and the service and the food were both excellent. It would be best to book though as it's a small restaurant and clearly very popular; also at the time of our stay it was only open in the evening and was closed on Saturday and Sunday. We particularly enjoyed being able to stay in Teide National Park and the accessibility of the walks straight from the Parador - that we had excellent weather was a bonus. Overall a very enjoyable holiday. Whilst we are no long able to walk long distances or manage strenuous walking, we have travelled with Inntravel several times in the past and have no hesitation in recommending your services. Thank you!

Very enjoyable break. Combine walk 3 with drive 2 stopping for a leisurely lunch at El Roque Los Pescad in El Cotillo before continuing the drive to the lighthouse and walk along coast.

Recommendation: If you have a Garmin watch do get the GPX files - it makes such a difference.  Highlights: walking off the beaten track offered endless opportunities to see sights we'd have otherwise been unaware of.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Fuerteventura holiday, the country, the weather and the walks and drives. Meals were good almost everywhere and very reasonably priced. Make sure you book restaurants as they get very busy after 7:30pm. A beautiful country but you need to plan around the wind!

We enjoyed Fuerteventura very much. Casa Marcos is an excellent restaurant. We also tried The Blue Cow in El Cortillo for seafood and were not disappointed. You need to book for any popular restaurant and be aware of evenings that some restaurants are closed. It was a delight to walk on the island, we met several like minded people and also keen cyclists. Fuerteventura is not just an island of resorts and sun worshippers - if you can avoid these parts of the island, which we did, you are in for a lovely warm winter holiday with no jet lag.
