The best walking in Sicily

When it comes to walking in Sicily, we offer a choice between the westernmost reaches, including the Egadi Islands, and the central Madonie Mountains. Both holidays explore peaceful rugged slopes and offer commanding coastal views – from the Madonie Mountains you can gaze north across the sea to the Aeolian Islands, while the wonders of the west coast include the Zingaro Nature Reserve.

Are our walking holidays in Sicily right for you?

Our walking holiday in Sicily’s Madonie Mountains explores remote slopes and involves ascents and descents each day, while our walking holiday in western Sicily and the Egadi Islands walk takes place on paths that can be little-trodden and rocky in places. Our grading system below should help you decide if these holidays are right for you. We’ll be happy to add in an extra night or two if you’d like an occasional rest day.
