Walking in the Pyrenees is about getting away from it all, admiring the inspirational views afforded by the broad ridges and mountain passes, and marvelling at the chain’s rich and diverse wildlife. We have been offering walking holidays in the Pyrenees since we first launched our walking programme in 1987 – our inaugural hiking route was in the eastern Cerdanya (Cerdagne) region. We have improved the routes and found higher-quality hotels than in those early days, but the essence of the holiday – demanding yet rewarding walking between unspoiled villages – remains the same. We offer another walking holiday in the Pyrenees at the opposite end of the chain – in the Basque Pyrenees near the Atlantic, you will experience a palpable sense of journey and constant reminders of the great pride the Basques take in their land and culture as you descend towards the sea. Whichever corner you choose for your hiking holiday in the Pyrenees, you will enjoy some of the best walking you could hope to experience.
Our walking holidays in the Pyrenees are meticulously researched, and you walk at your own pace guided by our detailed walking notes. Your luggage is transported between hotels, so you travel light and carefree while enjoying our walking holidays in the Pyrenees. To be sure of choosing the holiday that is right for you, find out how our independent walking holidays work and how they are graded.
