Slovenia was even better than we expected - scenery, walking(we did lots of it) and places to visit are extraordinary. Slovenia appears to be unspolied by tourism. We would love to visit the country again and explore the area around Maribor & we would like to hear what Inntravel could offer us. We loved the old world of grandeur & harbour of Trieste. We were fortunate to be in Venice and have perfect weather and appreciated its uniqueness. We were there at same time of the Biennale which we really enjoyed. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is a must see. Our previous visit to Venice was in winter and to some extent it is better because there are less people around.

We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday for its varied walking through green and lush landscapes. The people that we met, and the places where we stayed were always welcoming. We also enjoyed the inclusion of the wine tasting experience; always good fun and a chance to make friends with fellow Inntravel walkers. While the notes were very comprehensive, we would recommend the use of the downloaded navigation data [GPX files] as the area maps were so poor and some parts of the routes not well waymarked. Another highlight for us was the ability to add on a few nights in Venice in a very easy and straightforward way. The opportunity to add some cultural experiences to our walking created a wonderful holiday.

Hotel Ca'Nigra in Venice which we added on was an ideal hotel; great location on the Grand Canal, lovely garden for breakfast and evening drinks, very helpful staff. Easy acess from train station, and to bus station for airport (Marco Polo) 8 euros each, compared to taxis etc costing between 40 to 120 euros. Would recommend this hotel. Not sure about zum Dom in Graz as a 4 star accommodation. No mirror in bedroom, no bar in hotel, uncomfortable bed.
