Tyrol Adventure

A fun-filled Alpine playground
The Tyroleans are renowned for their genuine hospitality. Theirs is a long tradition – the Tyrol has, over the centuries, been a crossroads for travellers heading across Europe and through the Alps. You will find a warm welcome at both hotels, and excellent facilities too – both have an indoor pool and spa.

PLEASE NOTE: most rooms in Austrian/German hotels are normally one large base with two mattresses/duvets. We refer to these as 'Austrian Twins' and they are locally regarded to serve requests for both double and twin bedded rooms. Separate twin beds or traditional double beds with one large mattress are rare and cannot be guaranteed.

Hotel Kristall (4*), Ober-Weidach

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel Kristall

This chalet-style hotel is a very convivial place with a truly welcoming atmosphere and attentive service from your English-speaking hosts, the Pfeffel family, with whom we have worked for many years. The emphasis in the atmospheric restaurant is on traditional regional dishes created using locally grown and reared produce wherever possible – meat and vegetables from local farmers, fish from nearby rivers and lakes, and fresh herbs from the hotel's garden. All our included rooms have a balcony with valley view. The hotel also boasts excellent spa and 'wellbeing' facilities, including a steam bath, fitness rooms, massage rooms, a heated indoor pool and a whirlpool.

Hotel Inntaler Hof (4*), Mösern

Meal arrangements: dinner & breakfast

Hotel Inntaler Hof

The epitome of Tyrolean hospitality, fantastic cuisine, a superb spa complex and an idyllic setting... the Hotel Inntaler Hof has it all. We have worked with the English-speaking Heidkamp family for many years, and because of this you are very well looked after.

The spacious bedrooms are attractively appointed and facilities include a radio, telephone, hairdryer, satellite television and bathrobes. If you are a family of three or four, we include the Weitsicht Superior Classic Junior Suite with views over the Inn Valley. If you are a family of five, we include the 2-bedroom Landhaus Family Apartments (price on request) in a separate building, with living room and a small kitchenette. A family of three could also stay in the main hotel with an extra child bed in the room, if preferred.

The focal point of the hotel is the excellent spa complex, which consists of an indoor swimming pool with views of the Inn Valley, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a panoramic relaxation room and a fitness and weights room, all of which are free to use. Elsewhere in the hotel you can relax in the lounge, on the sun terrace, in the library or in the bar. Other facilities include an outdoor tennis court, a playground with slides, swings, a trampoline and mini football goals),table tennis, a playroom, toys, a babysitting service and the Pippi Longstocking Club for over-threes.

Like many of the public rooms, the restaurant boasts sweeping views of the Inn Valley and the mountains that frame it. Here, you enjoy first-rate cuisine, choosing from a four-course menu on which there is always a vegetarian option. There is a special children’s menu and the option of supervised lunch and dinner sittings. Breakfast is a superb buffet of principally local produce, complete with a ‘healthy corner’.
