Frequently asked questions about Inntravel holidays


How do I know which walking and cycling holidays are suitable for me?

We grade our walking and cycling holidays, 1 being the easiest and 3 being the most demanding. We explain our walking grades and cycling grades in the relevant section of the site.

I know which holiday I want. How can I find it quickly?

The best way is to use the keyword search in the very top right-hand corner of the screen. Type in the name of the holiday (you can omit words such as ‘of’ and ‘the’), then click on the magnifying glass icon or simply hit enter.

Can I send my shortlist to someone else?

Yes. Go to the My Shortlist page and click on the ‘create link to shortlist’ button. You can then paste the URL that appears into an email and send it to your travelling companion or the Inntravel team. You might even like to send it to yourself if you’re going to be browsing the Inntravel website on a different computer or mobile device. (You can access the My Shortlist page by hovering your mouse over or tapping on ‘my shortlist’ in the top right-hand corner of the screen, and then clicking on ‘view more details’ at the top of the list of holidays that appears.)

How do I find more information about city add-ons?

We recommend suitable city breaks which can be added on to your holiday in the ‘extend your stay’ panel located on the left-hand side of the overview and itinerary tabs. Clicking on the name of the city will take you through to a web page with more information about the city and the hotels we offer.

How can I tell if the holiday I’m interested is available?

We don’t show availability on our website for two reasons. Firstly, most holidays feature three or four hotels (sometimes more), many of which are too small to make it worthwhile for them to invest in a live online booking system. Secondly, to show availability would mean we’d have to compromise on flexibility, restricting start dates and extra nights.

We can give you an indication of whether a holiday is currently available for your chosen dates when you contact us, but we won’t hold rooms for you until you start the booking process and pay a deposit, so it is possible that someone else makes a booking in the meantime. (For this reason, we advise you not to book your travel until the holiday is confirmed.)

We know exactly which dates we can travel. How can we tell which holidays are available?

There’s no easy way (see above). What we suggest is making a shortlist (or deciding which country, type of holiday, grade and scenery you’d like) and then contacting us.
