Hotel to hotel cycling holidays

Hotel-to-hotel cycling holidays give the satisfaction of cycling from village to village whilst your luggage is transported.Enjoy the freedom of and independence of being self-guided,with our detailed maps and easy-to-read notes.

Over the course of a hotel-to-hotel cycling holiday you can explore a wide area – and often a variety of landscapes – something which brings a great sense of achievement. However, that’s not to say that our holidays are about covering as great a distance as possible. We design our routes so that they take in numerous places of interest, and ensure that you have ample time to stop for visits. Similarly, you spend two nights at most hotels so that you have the chance to enjoy a circular bike ride in the vicinity (or simply a rest day!).

Because we arrange the transportation of your luggage, you don’t need to worry about being weighed down by heavy panniers as you cycle – all you need to take with you are essentials such as your camera, drinks and sun cream. You can also rest assured that we carefully plan our routes, and present them in an easy-to-read format, along with information about the places of interest that you pass along the way. On most days, we offer a choice of routes, or suggest one or two detours, so you decide how far you want to cycle – and, perhaps more importantly, at what pace.

How our self guided cycling holidays are graded

We offer a wide and varied range of independent cycling holidays suitable for anyone who enjoys longer rides in the hills, short cycles exploring local places of interest, or even just an occasional pedal to the nearest shops. We use a numeric grading system to help you narrow down the holidays that are right for you. The definitions of the different grades are given below.
  • featuring undulating routes with more frequent short ascents, and a mix of shorter and longer days.
  • featuring longer days with some sustained climbs.

How our cycling holidays work

You can choose the start date, your travel method and route, the length of your holiday, and whether or not to make any upgrades. For children, we recommend our special family cycling holidays, unless you are travelling with teenagers who can use adult bikes.
