Life in the Inntravel office

Inntravel staff

Working for Inntravel is not your average 9-to-5 job (or 9-to-5.30 job, to be more accurate). And we won’t lie: with the number of passengers we carry each year constantly on the up, you’ll be kept busy, whatever team you’re in. You’ll also need to be able to think on your feet to deal with whatever challenge crops up that day (there’s always something!).

Many roles involve making and answering phone calls for much of the day, and all involve working to deadlines of some kind, be it responding to customer queries as quickly as possible, sending out final travel documents in good time, preparing monthly accounts, or delivering the latest brochure to the printer by the deadline. There’ll also be times when you’ll be needed to work late or on a Saturday (typically 12 per year), to be on call in case any customers ring the out-of-hours helpline (certain roles only), or to help out temporarily in another department.

Busy it may be, but the office is a friendly place to work and you can rest assured that it’s not all work and no play. Far from it. There are plenty of opportunities to travel for anyone who wants to, and lots of social events throughout the year.

What’s more, the advantage of working at a rural office is that you can get some fresh air during your lunch hour, be it going for a walk, joining the croquet team which meets daily at 1pm come rain or shine, or taking part in training sessions led by an ex-army colleague (warning: these are not for the faint-hearted or those averse to mud!).
