We feature a wide and varied range of high-quality hotels in our Skiing and Much More programme, with festive holidays in the snowy mountains a speciality. What could be more magical than Christmas or New Year in Finland, Norway, Austria, Italy, France or Switzerland? Here are just three of our favourite hotels, or, see our full selection.
The 4-star Wiesenhof is, deservedly, one of our most popular hotels, and earns consistently high praise for the charming hospitality of English-speaking hosts Hansi and Alexandra Entner, who create a convivial atmosphere in which families with children of all ages are warmly welcomed and well catered for. Our Christmas break includes traditional Austrian gala dinners and festive activities for all the family. New Year includes a celebratory dinner and fireworks in the village at midnight.

The 3-star Hotel Victoria is a place where you can truly enjoy the magic of winter. There are many activities to try - skiing, winter walking, snow-shoeing, curling and ice-skating, to name but a few - but the hotel's best feature is the warm hospitality of hosts Casi and Mimi. Our Christmas breaks include a horse-drawn sleigh ride, a torchlit stroll, a fondue evening with musical entertainment, a gala dinner on Christmas Eve, and free entry to the village ice rink. Father Christmas will also pay a visit, bearing gifts for the children.

To truly get into the Christmas spirit, head to the handsome Swiss city of Lucerne and experience the unique - and very romantic - atmosphere. Pretty decorations hang from the historic buildings, many of the boutiques - particularly toy shops - mount themed window displays and a daily Christmas market is held in addition to the normal weekly food and craft markets. You stay in the Old Town at the atmospheric 4-star Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann, where you are treated on one night to a sumptuous four-course dinner. Part of Lucerne's charm is its splendid location by the lake of the same name, and we include tickets for a wonderful journey by boat, cog railway and cable car into the surrounding mountains for spectacular winter views.
