Walking Discoveries
Welcoming and comfortable, our chosen hotels make great bases for exploring. With the freedom a hire car brings, you can spend your days walking or sightseeing as the mood takes you – we provide full route notes for two or three walks in the surrounding area which you can access by car, along with suggestions for cultural visits to give you a fascinating insight into the region. Each area has strong gastronomic traditions, and we usually include dinner at your hotel on your first night, leaving you free to sample some of the other local restaurants on subsequent nights.
Italy
Piedmont & the Barolo Vineyards (grade 1-2) Explore medieval villages immersed in the famous Barolo vineyards on leisurely walking routes, and perhaps indulge in a little wine-tasting.
