Hotpot & oystersTo get to our favourite restaurant in Lille, À L'Huitrière, you have to walk through the famous, tiled fishshop that gives you a clue to the freshness of the food. Enjoy beautifully prepared and presented fish and seafood in elegant surroundings. There are lots of other restaurants and bistros, many along the same street. Lille
has quickly become one of Europe's most dynamic and interesting cities,
and a great choice for a weekend away on the Eurostar. Whether amongst
the crowds in the Grand'Place on your way to the wonderful Vieille Bourse,
admiring the superb art collections at the Musée d'Art Moderne
and the Palais des Beaux Arts (second only to the Louvre), or shopping
in the futuristic Euralille retail complex, you will love the vibrancy
and culture. Despite Lille's modernity, its traditional restaurants and
bistros still remain in the alleyways and small squares of the old town;
indeed, you can enjoy some of the best cuisine in northern France here.
