Les Hauts de Montreuil
Good food in heart of walled market town
Everyone
falls in love with historic Montreuil, with its cobbled streets, ancient
ramparts, Saturday market, tree-lined squares and charming, old-fashioned
atmosphere. At the 3-star Les Hauts de Montreuil, the town's oldest building
(dating from 1537), you are right in the heart of the town. Bedrooms,
located across the courtyard in more modern buildings, are rather simple,
but the food is excellent - enjoy a 4-course dinner of well-crafted cuisine
in the atmospheric beamed restaurant. The buffet breakfast offers a wide
choice, and you can buy cheeses and local specialities from Monsieur Gantiez's
cave. There is limited private enclosed parking.
