Auberge d'Inxent

Cottage-style village inn in picturesque valley

Full of cottage charm and atmosphere, this ancient 2-star inn is the very essence of the traditional, cosy rural auberge. Inxent is a delightful hamlet in the lush Course valley, one of the most attractive regions close to the ports and consists of little more than a cluster of homes - and the auberge - lining the road. In harmony with the setting, the Six family offers warm hospitality and traditional cuisine, served in the beamed restaurant. Take your pick from the regional specialities crafted from local produce that are featured on the 4-course menu du terroir, among them rabbit stuffed with prunes and raisins, local trout, and guinea fowl in a raspberry sauce. Just as tempting are the wines - Monsieur Six is an experienced sommelier and his wine list is one of the most extensive of the hotels featured in our Shortbreak programme. We also love the cosy, prettily-decorated bedrooms, and gardens which lead down to the river. A classic of its kind - please book early to avoid disappointment.
