La Grenouillère

Tranquil, rural hideaway, acclaimed cuisine

Plan way ahead for this renowned hotel-restaurant in Madeleine-sous-Montreuil. With just four pretty, rustic bedrooms (double beds only; we include rooms with a shower), weekends can be busy - Sunday and Monday are a good alternative. It is really worth the effort, though, to enjoy one of the region's best restaurants and most charming hotels, set in pretty countryside near Montreuil. Dining here in the romantic, frog-themed restaurant is unforgettable, with lengthy meals of Roland Gauthier's light, creative cuisine - featuring dishes such as foie gras with morels and asparagus, and grilled sea bass on a bed of rice and artichokes, his 4-course Saveurs du Littoral menu, included in our arrangements, is guaranteed to excite your taste buds! A bar, sitting room and courtyard set with tables and chairs in summer complete the picture. Superlative attention to detail throughout makes a stay in this 2-star inn truly special.
