Farmhouse Charm - dine at the renowned La Grenouillère Restaurant

This special break features two very different styles of French cuisine, and the opportunity to experience the renowned Restaurant La Grenouillere. you stay two nights at the Ferme Auberge des Chartroux, with a dinner of authentic country cooking on your first night. On the second night you savour the gastronomic delights of Roland Gauthier's four-course Saveurs du Littoral menu, served in the romantic restaurant and guaranteed to excite your taste buds. Though it is just 8 miles away, we include taxis there and back so you can make the most of the wine list.

Ferme Auberge des Chartroux

We love this tranquil, great-value 2-star logis for comfortable farmhouse breaks with a true French flavour. The 13th-century working farm is situated in beautiful countryside on the outskirts of the village of Maresville. The effusive Madame Delianne is your charming hostess and you can enjoy her tasty country cooking in the handsome stone and wood restaurant complete with fireplace. Much of the produce on the set 3-course menu is fresh from the farm (the Deliannes keep sheep, hens, ducks and geese). The pretty bedrooms are individually decorated, with plenty of personal touches, and look out over rolling pastureland and woods. On warm, sunny days you can relax under the willow tree in the garden. Families are very welcome.

La Grenouillère

One of the region's best restaurants, set in pretty countryside near Montreuil. Dining here in the romantic, frog-themed restaurant is unforgettable, with lengthy meals of Roland Gauthier's light, creative cuisine - featuring dishes such as foie gras with morels and asparagus, and grilled sea bass on a bed of rice and artichokes, his 4-course Saveurs du Littoral menu, included in our arrangements, is guaranteed to excite your taste buds! A bar, sitting room and courtyard set with tables and chairs in summer complete the picture.

Prices for 2008

Prices are in £ per person based on a minimum of 2 adults travelling together and sharing a double room, and vary according to the number of people in the party. They include 2 nights' accommodation in a room with a bath or shower and wc, dinner and breakfast each day, and a return crossing with P&O Ferries Dover-Calais for your party travelling in one car. If you are travelling between 23 May and 1 June or between 25 July and 7 September inclusive, a supplement of £30 per car per single journey applies for weekend travel (Friday and Saturday for outward travel and Saturday and Sunday for return travel). We can also offer other crossings and operators – including Folkestone-Calais Coquelles with Eurotunnel – so please contact us for prices. The single room supplement is per person per night and must be added to the holiday price for the third and fifth party members. Maximum stay 4 nights.
