Norway
The enchanting landscapes of Norway are unlike any other in Europe, their grandeur both awe-inspiring and humbling. There is astonishing variety, too, from dramatic wildernesses to serene fjords. It is impossible to be unmoved by such a place, and a holiday to Norway is an unforgettable experience. Summer is pleasantly mild and, in the south, not unlike that of Britain. Further north, the Gulf Stream influence means extremes of temperature are rare, and you can experience the magic of the Midnight Sun from early June until mid-July. The arrival of the warm weather sees Norwegians making the most of the outdoor life, and you will probably wish to do the same, be it walking, mountain biking, rowing or fishing - all great ways to appreciate the impressive scenery.
Highlands
The deeply traditional Gudbrandsdalen Valley lies in the heart of highland Norway, amid the mountains described so lyrically by Henrik Ibsen in his epic poem about the adventures of his legendary hero, Peer Gynt. It is an area of great scenic beauty and breathtaking views towards the Jotunheimen Mountains.

Lofoten Islands
To explore the Lofoten archipelago deep within the Arctic Circle is to discover a land of stark beauty and great contrasts, where jagged mountains frame beaches of silver sand, and rocky headlands stretch out into the Norwegian Sea. Home to sea eagles, puffins and numerous other sea birds, the islands encompass some of the wildest scenery you will encounter in Europe, and it always feels like a great privilege to explore such virgin landscapes.
