Pricing & General Information Your holiday price Your holiday pricePrices All prices on our website are (unless otherwise stated) in £ per person, based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Your start date determines the price applicable to your holiday, and prices vary according to the day you arrive at the first hotel, as indicated in the holiday price panels. You should arrive back in the UK by the last date shown at the top of the price panel. If you are travelling out a few days before your Inntravel holiday starts, your holiday may fall within a different pricing period and incur additional charges. Please check with us when making your booking. Included meals Meal arrangements are described within the itinerary or online brochure page for each holiday. We do not include drinks (except at breakfast) in our meal arrangements. Please tell us about any special dietary requirements when booking. With Flights walking and cycling holidays 'With flights' prices include return scheduled flights in economy class from London, plus onward travel (or one Avis hire car for the party). We also use charter flights for holidays to Greece and Corsica. We outline the travel arrangements included in each holiday in the price panel, giving the flight route, airline, provisional departure and arrival times of both outward and return flights, and the method and anticipated duration (not including any connection time between airports and city stations) of the included onward travel, which is by rail, bus and/or taxi. We are not normally able to include the cost of transport between airports and city hotels or city stations for your onward journey. Full journey details are shown on your personalised Itinerary, which we include with your tickets and final documentation. It is often possible to fly from a different airport to that included in the standard arrangements; please contact us for details and prices. 'By rail' prices We offer travel by rail for many of our holidays in France. Prices include return Eurostar from London Waterloo (or Ashford) to Lille or Paris, with onward travel by other rail services, and a taxi to your hotel where necessary. If you are travelling via Paris, we include metro tickets for the journey between mainline stations. All Eurostar and rail travel is in standard class; to upgrade to first class, please contact us for prices. Self-drive holidays 'Self-drive' prices include (unless otherwise stated) a return Channel crossing from Dover to Calais with P&O Ferries for your party travelling in one car. (A supplement of £40 per car per single journey applies for weekend travel from 26 May to 4 June and 14 July to 3 September inclusive. 'Weekend' is defined as Friday and Saturday for travel from the UK, and Saturday and Sunday for travel from the continent back to the UK.) Cabins are not included, unless specifically stated in the price panel. A transfer back to the first hotel to pick up your car is included where necessary. For a supplement, you can travel on different routes and with different operators, provided you travel out and back with the same company. Own travel prices If you wish to make all your own travel arrangements (all the way to the first hotel) the Own Travel price applies. We are happy to be flexible with your travel arrangements. If you wish to book your own flights, and to arrange onward travel through Inntravel, add the own travel return transfers supplement (expressed per person). This includes travel from/to the stated city (usually the city centre, rather than the airport, if onward travel is by rail) exactly as per the connecting journey included in the With Flights price. We can offer transfers from other airports/cities too, and sometimes give prices for these in the panel if there is an airport close to the holiday which is served by 'no-frills' airlines, for example. If you would like us to provide transfers from another airport or city, please ask us to check the feasibility of this and provide a quotation. If making your own travel arrangements, you should do this only after we confirm the holiday arrangements to you. Please also bear in mind the need to have adequate insurance cover in the case of scheduled airline failure or disruption. (When you book all your travel with Inntravel, all aspects of the holiday are covered by our Booking Conditions, including our obligation to get you to and from your holiday in the event of the failure of an airline or other disruption to travel services.) 3rd+ person saving This is the reduction to be applied to the overall holiday price for any third and subsequent persons travelling in a party. All party members must travel together for the reduction to apply; if the holiday includes a Channel crossing, hire car or taxi transfer, the party must travel in one vehicle. Low-cost flights No-frills airlines such as Ryanair and EasyJet offer an extensive network of services that can be useful for many of our holidays. They are easy to book online direct with the airline. They do not offer special arrangements or pay commission to holiday companies but, if you would prefer, we may be able to make reservations on your behalf subject to a service fee of £25 per person. We can only make these flight bookings once the rest of the holiday arrangements are confirmed to us, and the full cost of the flights must be paid for at the time of booking. Only if we make the reservations for you will you benefit from Inntravels complete consumer protection for this aspect of your holiday. We reserve the right to withdraw this service for any particular route or airline at any time. ‘Add On’ price This applies to the second and subsequent hotels when you are combining hotels to tailor-make your own touring holiday. This price incorporates a 2 or 3-night stay (meal arrangements as described) and all documentation and maps for that hotel. If you are travelling by hire car, the cost of the extra days’ car hire should also be added; no travel is included in the ‘Add On’ price. Single room prices We give the price for single rooms in holiday price panels, either as the total amount payable per room for the whole holiday (on walking and cycling holidays) or, in the case of individual hotels, as the amount that should be added per night to the cost in a twin or double room. Also, as all our prices are based on two people travelling together, we may have to make a further charge if you are travelling on your own, which we will tell you about at the time of booking. Extra nights You can extend any holiday by adding extra nights. Please contact us for prices, which we express per person per night in either a double or single room. They are based on the standard meal arrangements for that hotel, unless otherwise stated. Extra night prices for holidays with a hire car do not include additional days car hire; this must be added on. Combining walking and cycling holidays You can combine active holidays, in which case you pay the full price for the first
holiday and the ‘Own Travel’ price minus 10% for the second holiday. The date you arrive
at the first hotel on the second holiday determines the applicable price, and it Making a bookingBooking your holiday To book your holiday, you can complete our
online booking form, though if you wish to
tailor-make the itinerary in any way, we recommend you call us on 01653

the numerous options available to you. How to pay You can pay by bank or building society cheque (made payable to Inntravel Ltd), credit card (MasterCard or Visa), or debit card (Visa Debit or Maestro). We are currently unable to accept American Express cards. Last-minute bookings It is often possible to make last-minute bookings, for which we may have to make an extra charge for secure ticket delivery. We recommend you book as early as possible to get the holiday you want. Please note that in making a late booking by phone, you accept our Booking Conditions in doing so. Insurance, health and passportsPassports and visas British citizens must have a full British passport to visit Austria, France, Greece, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland, but no visas are required. See next paragraph for entry requirements for North America. If your passport is about to expire, please check the requirements of the country you are visiting - some nations (including the US) are reluctant to allow you entry unless your passport is valid for a further 6 months. A British passport presently takes approximately 4 weeks to obtain (see the United Kingdom Passport Service’s website, ukpa.gov.uk). Entry requirements may change and you must check the up-to-date position in good time before departure. If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel. Entry requirements for North America Most British citizens (and some British Overseas Citizens and
citizens of certain British dependent territories as listed at
www.cic.ga.ca) can enter Canada without a visa provided they have
a valid passport and do not have a criminal record. Please note that
your airline will pass on your personal details to the Canadian
immigration authorities prior to your arrival in Canada.
In the US, the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) enables most British
citizens to enter the US without a visa, provided that they hold a
full, machine-readable passport (MRP). MRPs have two lines of text
as letters, numbers and ‘<’ symbols at the foot of the personal
information pages. If your passport does not have these two lines of
text, it is not machine readable, and you should obtain a B2 tourist
visa from the US Embassy or apply for a new passport. New rules
that came into effect on 26 October 2005 require all new passports
issued since then (including those issued on 26 October) to
incorporate a digital photograph, something which was introduced
into British passports two years ago. The new rule applies only to
passports issued on or after 26 October 2005; if your passport was
issued before then, it does not need a digital photograph, as long as
it is machine-readable. The situation may change, so you should
check with us, or visit www.usembassy.org.uk for up-to-date
information, especially if you are travelling after 26 October 2006,
when new rules come into force. (This website also lists the
circumstances in which you must apply for a visa, for example if you
have a criminal record.) Changes introduced last year mean that all
visitors to the US are now photographed and have their index finger
digitally scanned on arrival. Further rules introduced on 4 October
2005 mean that your airline will pass on your personal details to the
US immigration authorities prior to your arrival in the US, including
details of your country of residence and the address of your first
destination in the US.
It is our understanding that currently no specific visas are required
for travel between the US and Canada if you are combining New
England and Nova Scotia, provided that you fulfill all the
requirements outlined above for each country. Information for travellers The Foreign and Commonwealth Office produces up-to-date travel information to help British travellers make informed decisions about travelling abroad. For further information, please visit fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo or telephone 0870 606 0290. Alternatively, contact ABTA’s Travel Information Line on 0901 201 5050 (calls charged at 50 pence per minute). Personal holiday insurance We offer a specially arranged policy with Voyager Insurance, whose cover is among the most comprehensive available. The policy is specifically tailored to our type of holiday and, in addition to emergency medical assistance, it provides cover for cancellation and travel disruption in many circumstances. As personal holiday insurance is so important, it is part of our Booking Conditions that you take out adequate cover. We will therefore require you to take out our policy and pay the appropriate premium at the time of booking unless you provide us with details of equivalent cover you have already arranged. It is your responsibility to ensure that your policy offers adequate, equivalent cover - we are not in a position to check policies. Other informationBedrooms Where your stay at any hotel is for fewer than than 3 nights, your bedroom will (unless otherwise stated) have either a bath or a shower. For stays of 3 nights or more we can specifically request, but cannot guarantee, a bath rather than a shower or vice versa. Some hotels offer superior rooms (rooms with balcony or sea view etc). Where prices for these are given, they are expressed per person per night. While many Spanish, Greek and Norwegian hotels tend towards twin-bedded rooms, in Switzerland, Austria and the Dolomites hotels offer Austrian-style beds comprising two single mattresses with individual bedding on one large base. Meal arrangements Meal arrangements are described in the information panel for each holiday. We do not include drinks (except at breakfast) in our meal arrangements. Please tell us about any special dietary requirements when you book your holiday. Families with children For families, we recommend our self-catering holidays. Our walking and cycling holidays are geared to adults and in the main are not suitable for children. Documentation We supply full documentation and maps to help you get the most from your holiday. We provide local maps (usually 1:25,000 or 1:50,000 for walking holidays) along with our own regularly updated route notes for our active holidays. Documentation for all holidays includes information on the history, culture and wildlife of the region and recommendations on what to see, and where to eat and shop. A main road map is also included if you are driving to your destination. Luggage We transfer your luggage from hotel to hotel on all walking and cycling holidays. Where this is
occasionally not possible (for example to one very remote hotel on the holiday), we expressly state Continental time The countries we offer holidays to are generally one hour ahead of British time. The exceptions are Portugal and Madeira, which are on the same time as Britain; the Azores, which are one hour behind Britain; Greece, which is two hours ahead of British time; New England, which is five hours behind; and Nova Scotia, which is four hours behind. Weather Weather conditions are changeable, especially in mountainous areas and at the start and end of the season. We hope very much that you will be blessed with clement weather and our descriptions of the views assume you are exploring in good, clear weather conditions. Swimming pools Outdoor swimming pools are typically only available from May to September, though this depends very much on local weather conditions - in the mountains, this period is much shorter, while in warmer climes it may be much longer. In addition, pools may be closed periodically for maintenance. Information on travel by airRegional flights You can fly from an airport near you, rather than from London. While our inclusive flights
depart from London airports, we pride ourselves on tailor-making our arrangements to suit Flights Our commitment is to find the best flight arrangements for our customers, in terms of routes,
prices, conditions and times. Capacity on flights is at times limited, and most carriers have Car hireIncluded car Prices for holidays with a hire car include (unless otherwise stated) hire of an Avis
