Spain - Andalucia & ValenciaThe Vibrant SouthSpain's Secret Sierra
Andalucia's Aracena Sierra is a land of glorious woodland and far-reaching views, of soft, rounded hills and crystal-clear streams. Our enchanting walk meanders leisurely through the hills to the lower valleys, the beautiful chestnut forests giving way to magnificent cork-oak woods as you progress eastwards. Along the way you pass through many of the small, friendly villages that are scattered in the valleys and on the hillsides and which are full of southern spirit. The Mountains of Alicante
Fertile valleys coated in almond groves, craggy limestone peaks, dramatic ravines, panoramic ridges and colourful displays of lime-loving flowers in spring make the secret, sunny mountains of Alicante perfect for a week of rewarding walking in two very different settings – the rugged limestone landscapes around Tárbena and the gentler scenery further west. Indeed, these are some of the best routes you are likely to experience in Spain. The Valleys of Las Alpujarras
This walk explores the timeless landscapes of the Alpujarras, a region of lush valleys and dramatic gorges framed by the mighty Sierra Nevada in Spain's deep south. The emphasis is on the walking – we have found some truly memorable and very varied routes that reveal the many different landscapes of the Alpujarras: steep-sided gorges, orange groves, bubbling streams, arid areas dotted with cacti, chestnut woods, terraced slopes watered by irrigation systems introduced by the Moors, and olive groves.
Andalucia's Tranquil Heartland
This holiday is set against the backdrop of the verdant Alcornocales Natural Park an area of majestic cork, oak and chestnut forest stretching south of the famous white town of Ronda to the shores of the Mediterranean. To the north, quintessential Andalucian villages cling to the sides of deep valleys that wind southwards towards a landscape of rolling pastures. The walk reveals both the evolving scenery and Andalucia’s rich heritage you pass fortified settlements built by the Moors. Add characterful, interesting hotels to the mix and you have all the ingredients for a very rewarding holiday. White Towns & Rugged Mountains
Discover the beautiful mountain scenery of Andalucia's Grazalema Natural Park as you walk between its pueblos blancos, white villages shining in the brilliant sunshine. This is a rewarding walking holiday with some demanding sections through unspoiled hills and meadows against a backdrop of dramatic mountains. The Park, which is surprisingly green, shelters many birds, including Bonelli's eagles and griffon vultures. Andalucia's White Towns
