The southern Dalmatian Coast is Croatia at its most beguiling. Dubrovnik is justly famed for its splendid medieval architecture. North-west of the city, we have found two equally captivating islands. The first, Korcula, combines pretty coves, sleepy villages and rolling hills clad with olive groves and vines to wonderful effect. But if Korcula is idyllic, then Mljet, with its forests and glistening lakes, is spellbinding in its beauty. Touring by car, you can take things at your own pace, choosing walking or sightseeing as the mood takes you.
The Karst & Slovenian Riviera
Experience an authentic, unspoiled corner of rural Slovenia, where time seems to have stood still, on this leisurely discovery on foot which ends with a stay on the country's tiny but fascinating coastline. The Karst is a rolling limestone plateau dotted with farming villages and carpeted with mixed woodland and vivid green meadows. It boasts some astonishing geological sights, not least the amazing Skocjan Caves, one of the real highlights of any trip to Slovenia.
