Whether you choose to explore the authentic fishing ports of Asturias, the coast and villages of Catalonia, or the vineyards and timeless villages of La Rioja, what unites the Spanish is their enjoyment of life and their enviable ability to take things slowly!
The least developed of the Balearic Islands, Menorca’s rural interior of red sandstone mountains, green rolling hills and wooded gorges gradually give way to rocky coves, sandy beaches and fishing villages that line the coastline between the larger towns, Mahón and Ciutadella, at opposite ends of the island. The landscape is dotted with vast numbers of megalithic Talayotic structures, mediaeval palaces and historic churches, making Menorca a fascinating place to explore by bike, or on which to relax by the sea. 
Quiet lanes wind their way through the patchwork patterns of ancient farms, linking agricultural villages that reveal Mallorca’s genuine face. This is a side of the island that, thankfully, few tourists experience, and cycling here is a true delight, especially when combined with our selection of enchanting agriturismos and turismos rurales – small, intimate country houses offering a family welcome and the freshest of local produce, and much appreciated by our customers. 
This vibrant, varied region offers so much in terms of scenery – the unspoiled side of the Costa Brava, volcanic hills dotted with Romanesque churches, ancient inland villages, pine-clad hills, rolling vineyards, the rugged Ports Mountains and the lagoons and wetlands of the Ebro Delta. Fiercely proud of their distinctive culture, language, food and wine, the Catalans offer a warm welcome as you discover some of the area’s hidden gems, while staying in a selection of high-quality hotels offering wonderful food and wine. Fresh fish and seafood, creative cuisine, sparkling cava, robust reds ... travelling here is always a delight.
The velvety wines of La Rioja compete with the best in the world. In the broad Ebro Valley, sheltered by the rugged Sierra de Cantabria to the north, the vines, stretching as far as the eye can see, thrive in the warm Mediterranean-like climate. Pretty villages, the golden sandstone of their houses glowing in the sunlight, hide among the vineyards, combining with the greens and reds of the vines to create a tapestry of rich colours. Further south, the landscape changes, giving way to a patchwork of golden wheat fields and majestic monasteries.
Green and unspoiled, Asturias is dominated by the magnificent mountain range of the Picos de Europa, just a few miles inland from the Atlantic coast of quiet beaches, sweeping bays and fishing ports. Complementing the glorious scenery are authentic casonas – characterful village houses offering traditional cooking and a typically warm Asturian welcome in spectacular surroundings.
