We are pleased to introduce two fantastic walking holidays in Iceland for 2012: one in the south, beneath Europe’s largest glacier, and another on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in the west. Both promise landscapes that will thrill you at every turn, with thundering waterfalls, brooding volcanoes, strange rock formations and black-sand beaches, yet, despite the grandeur of the scenery, the walking is suitable for anyone of average fitness. Other exciting new additions include walking holidays in Corfu and the Austrian Alps, and cycling holidays in Burgundy and Umbria.

Our 2012 Villas & Cottages programme is now online, featuring properties in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Greece and Cyprus. Among the new additions is a collection of stylish apartments in the Swiss Alps. Owned by the Hotel Victoria in Kandersteg, with which we have worked for so many years, they offer high standards of comfort, with plenty of space and light, and make superb bases for a week of walking amid the dramatic mountain scenery of the Bernese Oberland.

If you are in the York area, you are welcome to visit our Travel Shop at our premises near Castle Howard, where you can discuss your holiday plans with a member of staff, browse the wide range of guide books and travel literature on sale, and enjoy a coffee or cup of tea. Our reception is open 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am-4pm Saturday throughout the year.
