When it comes to cross-country skiing, Norway has few equals. Stretching for mile upon mile, the impressive networks cater for all levels, and the fact that in Norway cross-country skiing is almost a national pastime means that the trails are superbly organised and that there is a particularly convivial atmosphere among skiers.
If you prefer downhill skiing, Norway is a great choice for this, too – the village of Geilo offers some of the best downhill skiing in Norway, with a range of pistes for all levels of skier.
